I am not saying hes coming to Miami or not coming to Miami but I cant believe that Manning has just started weighing his options as of two days ago. Hes known for some time that he was going to be released and his thought process of where to play next started a while back and not just two days ago.

Free Agency is rapidily approaching and teams want to know where hes playing by that time. If he was truly torn about playing for all these teams, wouldnt he be making the rounds, touring the facilities, meeting with coaches and owners and doing what needs to be done to make the best decision for him? But hes not. He was released on Wednesday and still no word about him meeting with potential suitors or visiting teams. Its not like he has all the time in the world with FA just days away.

Tampering is footballs worst kept secret and I cant believe potential teams havent at least spoken to his agent. Im guessing, money notwithstanding(since that can change his thinking) Manning has known for a while where he wants to play and most of this is a charade. You hear from certain "sources" close to him that Miami is his prefered destination and it does make the most sense. I think his mind is already made up and if i had to bet it would be that he winds up here. All this nonsense about him having trepidations based on the media is nonsense. Again this is just speculation buts is as good as any of the other media heads :D

I think the only thing that may prevent him from choosing Miami is the fact that he knows he is near the end of his career and may not play up to his good friend Marino's level. He probably wouldn't want to disappoint Marino or the fans of Miami since there is so much pressure to fill Marinos shoes.

Like the baseball latino young guns who are too afraid to represent the Latin community in south florida.. Almost how I felt about LeBron when they said he was going to Chicago, living under Jordan's shadow. Its a valid point and maybe one of the few negatives about playing here besides the general media consensus of our "joke" front office. The talent is here. Also Marino never won the big one, something Peyton could do for us.

I doubt he's scared to fill the shoes of a guy who never won a super bowl, I loved watching those years, but i am just saying.

So it's Denver, Arizona or Miami. Denver plays in the weakest division and would be the easiest path to the playoffs. Something I am sure he is giving strong consideration.
