The one who has more draft experience in our organization is Randy Mueller. We also have Cam Cameron as our talent evaluator and quarterback mentor coach calling the plays as well. If you date back to Randy Muellers drafts you would notice that the way he thinks its trade for future Talent.

Remember why he traded Williams to us? He already drafted Mcallister in the draft because he wanted to trade Ricky for those massive picks we gave them. That was probably one of the biggest steals I seen ever.

The outcome? We are likely to trade our 9th pick and a mid round to move up and get Quinn or somehow we will have Quinn on our laps. I don't think that our team is leaning Toward an offensive lineman. I would say that we have a bigger need for a corner than a lineman but we can address that position later in the 2nd round.

1st round= qb 2nd round= corner 3rd= wide receiver

I think that would be the order miami will pick.

2nd round we will not touch corners. I am farely sure of that. I think we are squared away with our D. We might add a few picks in the middle to late rounds, but I feel this draft will weigh heavily onto the side Marino roamed for years.

jason allen is switching to CB... we could go

qb - Brady Quinn
ol - tony ugoh
wr - anthony gonzalez

we just moved jason allen to corner, don't think we need a corner

U can't say lean to draft 100% QB if Russell and Quinn are gone after 3 picks.

If Quinn slips beyond the first four picks, I think Mueller will make a strong push to get him. If Quinn is selected in the first four picks, then the BPA at #9 will probably be a defensive player. I would much rather take the BPA than reach to fill a need.

I still like Stanton but then again what the hell do i know i just watch highlight film lol anyone looks good on a highlight

I think Mueller will make a move for Quinn IF he is within striking distance (after the 3rd pick). I don't think he will give up what is neccesary to get into the top 3 picks.

Agree 100%. Reaching for a need means you are bypassing a better player. That's a mistake in the long run because the bottom line is you want to increase the overall talent level on your team.
Anyone remember Billy Milner (OT) or Lorenzo Hampton (RB)? They were huge reaches because Shula was desperate to fill those positions those years.

Here's the quiet thought I've been harboring the whole time....

IF Calvin Johnson is selected #1, Detroit selects BPA and the Browns select Quinn @ #3 (due to connection with Weiss).... Russell is there at #4...

I think we'd be pretty stupid to pass on the opportunity to jump into 4, 5 or 6 to grab Russell. Whom I believe nearly everyone agrees is the best QB prospect but doesn't believe he would survive past the 2 or 3 pick.

Cleveland is the key to the whole QB conundrum.

So ignore the O-Line yet again?

if that happens, russel will go at 3 b/c ownership wants a qb and savage has a history with russel. in that scenario we grab quinn at 6.

nah but he was saying . . . what if by some strange reason that Crennel talks ownership into taking Quinn. Meaning Russell drops out of the top 3? I mean I know we all think we are experts on here, but maybe Cleveland doesn't want to show their cards.

Though do not be surprised if Randy finds a way and does move up dramatically. We've been scouting Quinn for 2 seasons now. I think he really wants him.
