All u guys that didnt want Vick on the dolphins are a little nutty if u ask me. I dont know if u checked this kids ratings last year but he ripped it up..I know he is a thug and most of u dont want that but if i were saban i woulda signed him 2, on his stats and the fact of his brother. I hope he gets a shot at QB, i'd love to see him out there killin it .. Some people do grow up and im sure his bro is riding his *** right about now trying to straightin him up. If i was a thug bad *** but then got a shot to play the game i love in the nfl i would buck up and be a good boy. haha, anyways the kid went 11-2, 15td's 2,190 passing yard. Im SOLD..$$$$$$$

I doubt he ever plays qb for this team... Further than 3rd string anyway.
Look for us to use him in an Antwaan Randle El role on trick plays and as a deep threat at times. With Culpepper and Harrington he's nothing more than an emergency QB. Who knows if he even beats out Holland or Berlin... Let alone Lemon. He's got a long hard road ahead of him to say the least.

ok, my argument is that he has had MANY second chances. and look at what happened against two LEGIT teams. Miami and Florida State, CHOKE. He played really well all year i give him that. But the second he faced some true competition, he couldnt pull it out. looked like a lost kid in both of those games.

I agree with both of u.. i just saw his stats from last year and saw a litttle bit of his brother in him. I know it will never happen but u never know.

If he has a "little bit of his brother" does that mean he'll be a lesser version of one of the worst starting Q.B.'s in the NFL.

Vick is trainging camp fodder...he won't make the final roster. Hell, I'll be surprised if he makes the practice squad.

Exactly....those ratings aren't even close to accurate.

Somebody fudged the numbers.

funny how everyone says if they got a chance to play the game they love that dont mean jack 99% of everyone in sports cares about money when they werent playing they said the same thing and especially when people say he's being greedy i'd play for free duh!!!! thats why your not playing and he is vick is a thug he didnt light nothing up in college please off the **** of his already its ridiculous this guy will never start at qb for our team get over it stop dreaming i know everyone wants to be optimistic but enough is enough when yall think of vick your thinking his brother not marcus and last time i checked mike has doesnt jack either!!!!!!!!

It amazes me that everyone projects Pro Football as some kind of moral barometer for our society. It is an entertainment vehicle. Their favorite music artist can trash a hotel, get caught with a gun and a pound of coke, and slap his girlfriend and everyone is cool with that. But as soon as an athlete does something "unaccpetable" then it becomes a soap box experience about character and values. Please. It is a ruthless game on the field and off the field that is geared to one thing only, winning. If a player gives a team a chance or an edge than he will be played. Saban works with Ricky's situation why? Because when Ricky returns in 2007 he is still one of the top three RBs in the league and gives the team a chance to win. We sign Vick why? Because there is enough raw talent there that in some role he may help us win.
I think this whole "good guy" "bad guy" thing gets over played. It's sport and entertainment. We all gladly forgave Randy McMike after assualting his wife twice, once when she was pregnant.

Let's lighten up on the moral police thing, and trust Saban's judgement.

Saban knows more about what goes on in the mind of a sports player than most of you might think. He graduated with a sports psychology degree.

If you want a clean house, take up women's soccer or something. Or join a monastery. All of you are ready to say "this is McMichael's breakout year!! He'll be one of the best in the league", but forget to mention how he gets pumped up for the season by backhanding his wife, or maybe he'll slap his kid around because his wife was at the grocery store.

But Vick. OH no! Not Vick!!! Not a Vick who is the younger brother of whats suppose to be the next generation of QB and has a shadow so long that Vick couldnt get himself out of it if he went forward in time. M.V. reminds me alot of a younger brother or a son who has to live up to such high expectations...but knows he cant, and so makes a name for himself in any other way he can.

Saban sees something in him on the field. Off the field, Vick needs the right kind of mentor. Not a person who will nurture him. But someone who will step up to him, find out the cracks and flaws, and use those to build up his character. I believe Saban can do that.

Not to mention this is Vick's one real shot at the NFL. Not many teams want to take on the load of Vick and all his baggage. I think theyd rather deal with a petulent T.O. than worry about Vick.

I think the QB ratings are different in college than in the NFL. You can get a 200 something rating in college, and im pretty sure that somewhere around 160 is the highest you can get in college.

We're not crazy, look at those stats. 17 tds and 10 ints. Its not mind blowing. Its not like the guy is throwing manning numbers up. Plus he's got a lot of issues. There's a reason why 32 teams decided not to use a 7th round pick on the guy, including oakland not using its mr. irrelevant pick. The guy is trash.
