Granted not to take anythign away from our Dolphins line(They have been playing great), but we do we do about Suh? Do we double team him? Running the ball against the Lions D will be a top priority in order for us to get the Win. I have faith in Tannehill with the way he is playing. My gut feeling could be that we are in for a shootout with Tannehill coming out with the win, and noting that he can keep up in a shootout. Suh I think is the X factor while I think Landry will be ours. Our D is constant pressure in the face, so I have no doubt Wake and company can get the job done. We just need to limit Megatron(who knows if he will be at 100%), but I think most agree, a Megatron at 50% is better then half the WR's in the NFL. Lets get this win Fins and keep the sports car running!!

I don't see a shootout. Could be but I don't think Stafford can put up big numbers against a top 10 D in every category

If not a shootout, then a precise passign game from T-Hill to win the game. We just need to get after them quick and fast!! Look at how the Lions came back to beat Atlanta.

Anticipate seeing more screens than normal as well as misdirection runs. Have to get that dline to overthink/hesitate. I trust lazor will have the appropriate gameplan ready for Sunday

Just about every game comes down to the 2 lines. Most games are won at the LOS

If fins can protect tanny somewhat and move the ball fairly well; I think fins should win the game. I'm not actually worried about detroits offense even with Megatron, since their offense has been inconsistent and Stafford can be mistake prone. Dolphins also are good at pressuring and forcing turn overs and have given better qbs than stafford are hard time and better offenses a hard time. So I think fins will handle Stafford and lions offense fine. It's a matter of miami, protecting tannehill well enough that they score pts and move the ball as well as run the ball well enough to have some type of balance on offense.

Personally, I see the Fish spanking the Lions. They've lost both times they played a team with a winning record. And they've barely beat the last two crappy teams they've played. And without a healthy Megatron their offense is anything special.

I'm also concerned about the blitz. With Miller hurting, our pass protect from RB's is questionable.

I don't see a shootout at all. I think the first team to 20 wins this game.

In my view, the best way to counter act their DL. Don't give them the same target point, i.e. Move RT around - force them to read, react and adjust. This will slow them down in multiple ways - their actual aspect of movement and, you're giving them more to think about. If you just stand RT in the pocket in the same place, you're making it easy for them.

What I've seen from the play calling in the last few games is Lazor is getting into a certain level of comfort with what he's working with - he's moving it from sideline to sideline, down field, play action, boots, zone reads etc. The more you offer, the more the D has to prep and think.

As for the run game, and this won't be every play but at times you may be able to create some chunk yardage due to the penetration Suh gets - the way I'd do it is turn your weakness into a strength - don't try and block him with a heads up Guard. Trap him with the BSG [Back Side Guard]or BST [Tackle] and go play side trap to Suh's side. Run that PSG [Play Side Guard] heads up on Suh to the 2nd level Mike and trap Suh - you'll have a natural seam.

Additionally, force them to move and redirect. Counter action may be slow, but some end around/reverse action. Pass wise [extended run] screen the heck out of them - slow them down. Draw plays inside I don't think will work, just don't think we have the strength at Guard to leverage them at DT.

And in the first half - tire them the heck out by making them run sideline to sideline with stretch runs, that toss sweep from the gun that's been effective [we just need to show a different look as it's now predictable with the slide motion crack from the single side WR] and move the QB outside.

Just a few thoughts.

Good point on Lazor's comfort level. We all see players having to adapt to a new O but, do not consider that Lazor is doing the same with his players. He has to see and adjust to what these players can do together and individually with the others. This also takes time.

I think this will be closer to a defensive game then the shootout that some think it might be.

I think Miami will do well enough to win the game, but one thing does scare me a bit, the kicking game will be key in this game, we will need to have the old Fields punting, because the team that wins field position in this game, will probably win the game.

Finally, in a defensive game, there will not be as many TDs as we would all hope for Miami, so the Kicker will be extremely important, Sturgis better be perfect in this game (Kickoffs and FG), or they should give him his walking papers after the game.

If this game does turn into a blowout for Miami, even the most pessimist among us will have to admit this team is for real, and Finheaven will explode from all the celebrating.
