I just have this gut feeling that we will be playing on our backyard for the superbowl. This team is loaded with talent on both sides of the ball and now we have a legimate QB at the helm.Ronnie Brown is the real deal and he will be probowler this year.Chirs Chambers will have career year this year with Culpepper throwing him the ball. The defense will take a little longer to gel but I think the secondary will come along nicely.....

I'm just fired up about '06 season .....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel we have a shot.

i dont' wanna get over confident or anything but i must agree. its a little surreal, is our team actually this good, its hard to belive with all the holes we've had over the past 5 years. If finally feels like were a complete team with not a gaping weakness at any position. (esp. qb the most imp. one)

we will win the afc east and make a playoff run, winning the SB is a long shot but not out of the question like years past

GO FINS IN 06!!!!!

This year we have a real good chance to the playoffs, but I don't think we are there just yet to be sniffing the superbowl.

Give it another year and then we should be ready.

Everyone has a shot right now, let's leave it at that. We'll talk in December to see where we are then.

But hell, I say we go all the way too, Why not?

We always feel that we have a shot because Miami always seems to have the talent to win it all, but we simply dont end up doing it.

Remember a few years ago in Ricky's second year, EVERYONE thought we were going to be in the super bowl. Even some of the jacka** analysts who always hate on miami were picking us to be there.

Now, we have a better quarterback this time around, but our defense is NOT what it was 3 years ago. Our defense has promise, but that defense was the tops. our running game should be as good or better, not because Ronnie is better than Ricky, because he isnt better, but our play calling will be better than 3 years ago when it was run, run, run, punt. Our skill position players should ONCE AGAIN be dominant, but we are known for our lapses when it counts. I think its up to our lines. More so the O-line than teh d-line because the O-line is going to have to allow C-Pep to have a little time, and they are going to have to adjust to having a guy who moves around back there, like Feidler did, but better.

All that being said, sure I believe that we have what it takes to win, but we really have to start winning before I put us in the superbowl. There is still Indy, there is still Pittsburgh, there is still New England, there is still San Diego. There are a lot of teams that have the tools. PLus Im looking for a break out year from Arizona, Houston and i think the real suprise will be Tennessee. But this is why we play the games

Im PUMPED

There definetly is extra motivation for us to make the Super Bowl this year in our backyard . . and I hope it happens. I still think we have wayyy too many question marks right now to even be considered contenders for the Super Bowl tho. . playoffs yes, but Superbowl?? Its fun to think about, but to have a neutral perspective, right now we need to be thinking playoffs . . remember it has been what 4 whole years since we been there, lets take one step at a time. If everything goes well, we definetly have a squad to contend tho.

just remember...when we are a powerhouse for the next 5 years or so...we will have home field advantage in 2010...or the season of 09-10...yeah baby these are our times!!!!!!

man, that would be suweeeeet!!! the first team to host (and hopefully win the whole dang thing). i'm getting goosebumps just thinking about the possibilities. hey, if anyone out there figured out how to manipulate time yet, take me to sep 7 with you. this season needs to start already. argh!

In the last 10 years, 7 different teams have won the Superbowl:

Pittsburgh
New England
Tampa Bay
Baltimore
St. Louis
Denver
Green Bay

And unlike Dallas duking it out with Pittsburgh in the 70s, the two teams with multiple wins played against a different opponent each time:

New England: Philly, Carolina, and St. Louis
Denver: Atlanta and Green Bay

Also, New England won all 3 of their SBs by 3 points each. So it was very close to being 9 different SB winners in the last 10 years.

In today's NFL, the Superbowl is up for grabs every year. The Fins could win this year. Not a year from now. Not 2 or 3 years from now. But this year. We are very real contenders.

Yes, there are a lot of questions still to be answered:

Will Culpepper be healthy and return to form?
Will Ronnie Brown be able to carry the load?
Is Saban the real deal?

As far as those questions go, until proven otherwise, I'm gonna go ahead and answer, "Yes!"

Culpepper to Chambers will become the new Culpepper to Moss.
Based on his yards per carry, Ronnie could rush for over 1500 yards.
And it looks like Saban is building a dynasty like Belichick did with the Patsies.

Other concerns:

Our secondary needs time to gel.
Culpepper needs time to gel with his WRs.
Beasley and Shelton need time to gel with the running game.

Basically, we need TIME to gel. Lucky for us, the 1st half of our schedule is soft. So that's gives us time. Is it enough time? Nobody knows.

But by the time the playoffs roll around, we could be firing on all cylinders.

Guys, I hope your right man I really do. Dont get me wrong, I have a gut feeling this year will be special too, BUT, I think this year will be more like the Heat last season.

It'll be a year that we win the division have a awesome record of 12-4 and make it as far as the AFC Championship game.

Then next season we bust out and go all the way and win it all.

Couldn't agree more. I'm not going to sit here and say we are a year away because I don't think a year automatically makes you better. We have a very good team right now and a good shot to do it right now. We owe it to our aging defense to go get a championship this year.

I agree with your arguement but i don't think we have all the tools to win the superbowl we can get into the playoffs but maybe next year after we get more players we can win the superbowl
