Ricky is too expensive and is out of gas. Get rid of him. I love him because he's Ricky Williams, but let's be realistic. He's not the same and never will be, he's older, slower, and in my opinion needs to go for someone younger.

Not to forget the fact that Ronnie is in his contract year, again I LOVE LOVE LOVE Ronnie Brown but I think he needs to kill it this year if the Trifecta are going to consider him worth the money he'll be looking for. So why not clear some cap space by removing Ricky, drafting a young speedy runningback, so that in the event that Ronnie DOESN'T pan through we're not completely ****ed. I'd love to see someone who plays a much different style than Ronnie along side him, sort of like what the Falcons have. Turner sets em up, beats em down, and Norwood just blows right past em.

Were not paying ricky all that much, and hes a good a complimentary back to ronnie with that 1 - 2 punch, and besides we drafted 2 running backs last year, and dont forget about patrick cobbs.

Ricky is expensive... I thought they basically gave him a deal on the cheap.. Ricky will likely play this season or 2 then retire.. He retires a phin.

I want SPEED though. SPEEEEEEEDDD! Also no I didn't forget about Cobbs but I like him more as a screen specialist.

I don't think Ricky's out of gas yet, but there were times last season when he didn't seem like the same guy. It would be wise for the Fins to monitor his performance in all areas for signs that he's slowing down because the dropoff, once begun, can be pretty steep.

A RB on the second day of the draft isn't going to break the bank, and I believe Ricky is down for $3.5mil this season and Ronnie's up for a new deal next. Seeing what some of the scrubs are getting in FA I shudder at the thought of what it would take to re-sign Ronnie if he has a sterling 2009.

With the way the RB position has been handled the last few years, we can avoid worrying about that position this year and worry about it next year when its actually needed. We have too many other real needs to create one right now.

ricky is making no more than 2mil this year.. that's very good value for someone in a commitee system..
I agree we could upgrade the RB position.. I'd love a rashard jennings, a 4th rnd guy.. devin moore and peerman from virginia are great change of pace guys that can be had in the 5th-6th rounds...
I wouldn't draft a guy early.. I'd even pick up a UFA RB...

I think we should keep ricky for this last year..
If he has any trade value better than a 7th, we should trade him and then draft someone... His contract is cheap, which also increases his value...
I think he could get 1000 yards if he was the feature back...

cobbs will stay, he's a perfect no. 3 back

It's called sarcasm:crazy:

And the point you were making was?.... oh nevermind..

I think you misunderstood my post. I was saying that none of the points he was making were true, but why let the truth get in the way of him making his point. I was being sarcastic too.
