I want pennington to be our QB next year.

I was tired of QB of the lack of QB play. Chad P has show me. that you can win with him. This is a QB that has 3 month with this team. Imagine next year.
 
I have no reason to believe he would be. He might even get an extension on his 2 year he signed this year. And if he is producing, and continuing to play the way he is, he can stay our starter for another 4 years
 
I for one have been happy with him as our QB this year. It is a bit ironic how this time last week there were so many "start Henne" threads.
 
I would like to see Henne get a little playing experience this year toward the end if it is clear that we will not make the playoffs. If Henne plays well, I think they should have to battle it out in TC.

If we lost next week, there will be plenty more. If hes the starter next year and he loses a game, there will be plenty more.
 
i love that pennington is playing very well. That being said if Henne play better next offseason and in preseason I say play the guy that is more deserving. you always try to upgrade no matter. Greg camirillo has done a good job but i would not hesitate to try to upgrade.
 
I don't think Pennington has played an entire season, healthy in his NFL career.

He is stronger now than he was with the Jets. I'd like to see us have another off-season and upgrade the WR's, and have those guys broken in with Pennington.

But I'm pretty anxious to see Henne in there too. I think this is a great position to be in, especially for Henne. Just think of all of the intZ that won't be on his career stats, if Pennington sticks around and he can learn under Chad for another year and a half.

The Tuna prefers veteren QB's historically. The guy who is losing out is Beck. He has no future as a career back-up on a team with 2 legit QBs.
 
Henne should be given every chance to EARN the starting job next year, if he can't do it then we know what we have with Pennington.
 
As long as we can keep him upright threw the whole season and he plays like this, there isn't any reason why he should not be our QB for a couple more years. Then become a coach!
 
Pennington will start till the moment we are eliminated from either the playoffs itself, the season is over, or we are eliminated from playoff contention. After the season and during next offseason, he will have to hold off Henne. Whoever the FO and coaching staff feels gives us the best chance to win next season.....will be the starter. Its really that simple.

As of right now, Id say it will be tough for Henne to overtake Pennington. Pennington is playing really well.

Long way to go till next season folks. Lets talk about this season. We have a good team and are in the mix along with 13 other teams in the AFC for 6 playoff spots. Thats why I dont understand all the draft talk and the who will start next season talk around here. This isnt the last 3 seasons where Oct. was the time to start talking about that stuff.
 
ouch, I like pennington but those floaters are killing me. i want those passes to be drill into the receivers hands.
