i am very interested in knowing why there seem to be a good supply of db, ol, ect coming into the nfl that are faster and biger but why is it the qb position isnt really improving from the college to the nfl. it seems like miami should be able to find a payton manning or a Ben R. or even a brady quinn.
i know wr's are getting better and are the te's and dlinemen. can somebody give a run down on why it is so hard to get a good qb ? thanks

Becuase in short you can't "measure" their brain.

you line up a receiver to run 40 yards, you can watch an Olineman bench 500+lbs, you can watch a dlineman do the cone drills, but you can never really see a QB in a gametime situation.

Matt Leinart 6-5 225

Brady Quinn 6-4 232

Vince Young 6-5 233

Jay Cutler 6-4 230

Hey there you mayonaise sandwitch eating cracker.
I would like to respond to youre thread with the same respect that you responded to mine with.
The good quarterbacks available are going to baseball where they dont have to deal with "fans" like you.

Hows it going Marty?
I will get banned for this but if you look at my thread about dolphin players who visit this sight I think it is worth it

It's got more to do with the lack of proper development of the quarterback position at the lower levels. High school programs are notorious for putting their best athletes at quarterback, and that has invaded the college scene. Too many college coaches are putting athletes at the quarterback position rather than putting quarterbacks at that position.

I think u answer ur own question.........QB's have probably the hardest job in any sport, ur sayin how all these positions are gettin better and better, and thats why I think that QB isnt, u have surpreme defenders that can shut down a QB.....thats why QB isnt improvin as much cause everyone else around them is better.......

if I made that sound comfusin im sorry lol
