first of all I want to clear something up because my thinks is a little misguided.

I had posted about whether or not it would be better to lose the remaing games and get better draft picks or to win out and then next year with the tough schedule have a let down season .
my reasoning is that we have been on the edge between being a good team and being a bad team .

what I failed to espress was could we improve more if we lost out this year and then next year have a really good year.

where I am from, fans of other teams say if you dont win enough to get to the playoffs its better to get the best draft position and get the best players available.

I dont really want to lose , I just want us to get some superstar players that could turn into playmakers .

anyways I apologize for posting that earlier sometimes i just want to get a superstar that could maybe be a hall of fame player.

Not to be a jerk, but it is "faux pas"

And no....I want to win now. I am enjoying the hell out of this season, and quite frankly, I could care less about next year right now. I am tired of always having to look ahead to next year because we have been failing. We are winning games right now (no matter how ugly we may be doing it) that we would have lost in the past. Our young players are learning how to win as professionals----I'd rather not have them learn how to lose.

Seeing how well we've done with later picks ( Henne, Donald Thomas, Merling, Langford) I'm not really all that worried with getting a higher draft position. I think that our front office will be able to find a stud at almost any position in the draft.

Very true, cant wait to see what they can do with two second rounders. Also Bess was a free agent, and Thomas was a 6th rounder.

Then like me, you should still be EXTREMELY pissed that Parcells didnt grow a sack and select Matt Ryan.

fopa... haha what even dumber than fopa is that you want higher draft picks...

look if we lose two in a row, put in henne try to win but probably lose and get those ebtter draft spots... but we still need to get into a winning habit.. and i think we need to give it our best every time...

the number 12 pick has just as much potential as the 24th... it doesn't matter, we have to win.. with this coaching staff we could have made the playoffs with last years roster!

you guys are right I am afraid that i get caught up in the hype of draft picks which has been a sore subject with all of us. Please bare with me while I try to adgujst my attitude , for I sometimes jump before i think things out completely and I sometimes want to discuss miami football at the point of wanting to fit in around here.

Dude don't even sweat it, you weren't alone. I didn't agree, but you had company. You realize how many times everyone has been wrong about something on here? Don't ever be afraid to post what you feel. If it turns out wrong, you won't be the first. Been there done that. Columbus was looking for a short cut to India, when he discovered America, now he has a national holiday. Atleast you got the nuts to come back and face up!

Wow....putting Matt Ryan in the hall of fame already, huh?

get off his nuts...he's a Falcon. He's never been a Dolphin and likely never will be, so I'm not sure why you feel the need to bring his name up in every other post?

Takes a big man to admit that he was wrong.

Luckily no one else on this site has ever been wrong, thats why we don't see these corrections.

We all just want the fins to rule the league.

And please WV, do not come back and say we could be ruling the league with Matt Ryan

You shouldn't feel sorry, your logic wasn't flawed.

Wanting a better draft selection for this team isn't a bad thing. We're not an elite team and to be honest, we're overachieving a lot right now. We're a far worse team than the 10-6 Dolphins of 2002, and yet, it's possible we end up with the same record (and miss the playoffs exactly like they did, too. That's ironic)

We have problems throughout our secondary, LB core could use some work, and we still need some help on offense. I can totally understand why you'd want a better pick.

someone else said it best....a higher draft spot guarantees you only a bigger rookie contract.

the value of a team learning to win far out-weighs the benefit of drafting a dew spots higher.
