Ronnie Brown's fumble....

It was RULED on the field as a fumble, thus the ref needed conclusive evidence to overturn. The 3 angles shown on the Jumbotron did not give conclusive evidence that his knee was down, thus the ref could not, by rule, overturn if he was ruling from those 3 angles. However, the ref did not say that....he said the "ball was out before the knee hit...ruling on the field stands"

Were other angles shown on TV that conclusively showed a fumble?

Bills should have not been in that position....17-0, decided edge in turnovers and penalties...Bills should have blown the Fins out.

But the FISH WERE SQUISHED!! :D

Put it this way, if it was ruled on the field that he was down, the call would have stood. No conclusive evidence either way, but after looking at the replay, I think he was down.

yeah, that....

The stupid thing about the replay review process is that it has to convincingly overturn the ruling on the field. I mean if you're using high-end technology to watch the play in slow motion, why should the ruling on the field matter at all? The ruling on the field was made by a human in fast motion -- if we're using a far more reliable entity to review the play (the technology), why should the less reliable entity's opinion matter at all?

I do not know if he was down or not, but I agree with the first part of your statement. It's possible the ref had another angle in the peep show booth :D

My thoughts exactly.

It was hard to tell...but it looked ALOT LIKE he still had the ball when his knee hit the ground.....

As for "blowing us out"...get this straight Clumpy....Had the Bills been the team with the 5 turnovers and the 18 penalties...The score WOULDS HAVE BEEN 42-7 Miami..... ;)

Good Luck.....

You know who the better team was out there.

I thought it was a fumble after the replays. I thought he was down initially, but I felt the replays showed that it was a fumble.

I was at the bar with quite a few people that all agreed his knee was down, and they were colts fans so they had no bias. Its just a tough break, congrats on the Miami loss. I cant say it was a Buffalo win cause really we beat ourselves.

I thought it knee was down before he was even contacted by the guy that made him fumble, but you got the break.

regardless if he was down or not, he needs to hold on to the ball, no excuses!

On "Primetime" they showed the ball on Ronnie`s chest with a hand around it and his knee on the ground.

I watched the game at a bar and thought with confidence that the call would be overturned.

With all due respect to Muck, who says it was a fumble...

I disagree.

I dont know. I hate to say it, but the TV angles showed no conclusive evidence IMO that it was NOT a fumble. i think it was the only call that could be made. Buffalo was good enough not to let a gift-wrapped win get away, but just barely. Nontheless they won and the game should have never come down to a last minute fumble for Miami. They deserved nothing less for that pitiful first half.
