First off let me get this out of the way. Henne had an utterly pathetic practice. He looked lost, hesitant, and had no accuracy on 80% of his throws. His confidence appears shot. The crowd did indeed chant "We want Orton" towards the end of practice after Henne underthrew a wide open Fasano. It was several hundred people chanting for about 30 seconds. I say this because I dont want this to be about the booing of Henne and whether it was appropriate or not as there is another thread to discuss that.

I created this thread to answer any questions you guys might have about how any other player not named Henne looked so fire away. I'll answer all of your questions.

How did Thomas look out there?

He looked good. He ran well between the tackles and showed nice instincts on cutting back towards the hole. He's got a little burst to him. There were a couple of plays where the D-line manhandled the O-line and he was swallowed up before he could even reach the line of scrimmage. Overall, he looks like a tough back that is not afraid of contact. I don't see explosive burst but I see good vision and the ability to get to the second level of the defense.

Very good, from what I've seen and heard about him he seems like a quicker Ronnie Brown.

how did vontae-pouncey-carroll-reshad jones do?

Vontae-- for some reason he was never matched with Marshall. He was going against Hartline every time and he ate up Hartline on every play. Hartline really struggled to get any separation against Vontae. On one play Hartline ran a deep sideline route vs Hartline and Vontae was there step for step. Hartline had a chance to make a play on the ball but didnt have that extra burst to make the play.

Pouncey---Big dude to watch in person. Soliai pushed him back and ate his lunch on the first play and tackled Thomas in the backfield. after that Pouncey did clear some holes up the middle on a couple of plays but overall the starting D-line won most battles.

Caroll----To be honest I didn't pay attention to him and don't recall so that means he didn't get roasted but didn't get picks either.

Jones----He covers a lot of ground. A couple of times I was impressed with how quick he got from the middle of the field to the sidelines. He looks better than Clemons out there.

how is devlin? what did you dislike / like about him.

how did pouncey look out there?

did marshall show any frustration from henne? how good of a shape was marshall in?

matt moore was there?

Devlin

How did Devlin look and regarding the 3 sacks he took, did he get any protection or were these coverage sacks?

Matt Moore can't practice until Thursday. He may "pull a Fiedler" and steal the QB job from Henne at the last minute just like Fiedler did with Huard.

Devlin didn't looks as good as he did yesterday but he still showed flashes. He is VERY accurate on throws over the middle. He also has a better feel for the pocket than Henne. He made some nice throws but made a couple of bad ones too. Up and down day but no WOW plays like yesterday.

Marshall was calm, even though Henne underthrew every single pass to him.

Matt Moore didn't practice and I didn't notice if he was on the sidelines.

Did Ray Finlke finally get laces out?

Yes, but he still missed.
