I was at tonight's practice. Anything you want to know?

How did Gates look out there? Is he a good route runner? Did he have any kind of seperation?

Vontae-- for some reason he was never matched with Marshall. He was going against Hartline every time and he ate up Hartline on every play. Hartline really struggled to get any separation against Vontae. On one play Hartline ran a deep sideline route vs Hartline and Vontae was there step for step. Hartline had a chance to make a play on the ball but didnt have that extra burst to make the play.

Pouncey---Big dude to watch in person. Soliai pushed him back and ate his lunch on the first play and tackled Thomas in the backfield. after that Pouncey did clear some holes up the middle on a couple of plays but overall the starting D-line won most battles.

Caroll----To be honest I didn't pay attention to him and don't recall so that means he didn't get roasted but didn't get picks either.

Jones----He covers a lot of ground. A couple of times I was impressed with how quick he got from the middle of the field to the sidelines. He looks better than Clemons out there.

Thanks for the reply, and also, i would not be surprised if jones ends up wins clemons spot in the preseason.

AWESOME...He has IT. The "IT" that Ginn never had. He ran a deep sideline route with the CB (Jimmy Wilson) all over him and the throw tailed towards the middle of the field. He instinctively turned on the jets and manuevered his way to get inside and past Wilson to get the separation he need to catch the ball for a TD in the back of the endzone. He also looked great returning kickoffs. I can honestly say he is the fastest Dolphin I have ever watched live. He just needs to learn to run precise intermediate routes but his instincts are off the charts. He looks like a legit playmaker.

how'd Clay look? On twitter (yeah yeah I know) he said he was disappointed with his day

I can't recall many balls thrown to him. I believe there was one that went off his fingertips. He was mostly hanging around the line of scrimmage run blocking. I think the coaches want him to get coached up on that as he has really struggled with it. He looks faster than Fasano but I need more time to evaluate his pass catching abilities.

How did Burnett and Edds look? Is Edds even in the running for a starting position, or does he look limited to 3rd downs only (if even that?)

I really hope they use clyde throughout the season, i really liked him tonight

Jared Odrick? I'd heard some good things from the twitterverse.

He looked great. he consistently had great push against the O-line and got in for some pressures in the passing game. However, let's keep in mind that Long and Carey didn't practice so I wouldn't take too much from his good performance today.

Burnett didn't practice. Edds looks like Bobby Carpenter 2.0 but I won't judge him just yet. Still too early.

The OL is a big concern to me right now. Who is starting at RG? Jerry? If so, how is he looking?

Who do they have playing the nickel right now, Will Allen?

how did Roberto Wallace played ?

He looked good. Made an awesome catch on a deep route. He is looking more and more like a legit receiver. The more I see Wallace and Gates, the less I want Braylon. Wallace looks like he made strides since last year's training camp.
