I thought it would be different, I bought in!
His is he same team with the same issues.
starts slow, can't stop run, can't run ball, can't protect qb, dumb penalties, and the qb is far from a difference maker.
lets not talk about completion percentage. Out qb has always lacked situational awareness and the ability yo
make game changing plays. He is the same guy. he makes a nice play here and there. But never when it matters most. When you are about to punt out of your endzone with 2 mins left you are going to lose. You are better off letting the opposition score. Of course we check down there. 40 seconds and no timeouts, Eli, Matt Ryan, flacc9 etc get you a fg try. We check down for 7 Yards to the middle of the field. We never ever even attempt deep balls, that's on Lazor and the qb. Lots of good things happen on bombs to receivers, pi call or God forbid he catches it!
We rely on a bunch if 5 yard passes to move the ball.
We can't run it, suh is invisible we can't stop run. McCain is lost, linebackers are garbage and out coordinators on both sides cannoy adjust. I watch blske
fresking bortles take chances and push the ball down field. Why can't we
do that? Where are Parker and stills? Our head coach is lost.

the common denominator is head coach and qb. So do we make excuses for the qb with 5 possessions with the game tied at 20 or blame the coach?

I really thought Kenny Stills and Suh would be difference makers. But they're basically invisible.

I followed my heart instead of my head -- I too was taken in. My name is Z and I too am a finaholic.
 
I buy in every year but this year felt like it would really be different. A dominant top 5 defense. Tannehill turning into a top 7 QB with tons of weapons. Beat up the 'bad' teams, win against enough 'good' teams, get a Playoff birth. Nothing even close to any of that.
 
I was fooled too. I was buying into the team as well. I thought Suh was going to make the defense better. I liked the Jordan Phillips selection, thought he would flash and eventually become a stud next to Suh, while he still may become a great player, he won't get much playing time this year. I thought Landry, Stills , Parker, Jennings and Mathews along with Cameron were going to thrive with Tannehill. I thought the offensive line would hold up enough to give Tannehill enough time to get the ball to all those weapons and that Lamar would be solid running the ball.

I bought into all of the hype but so far it appears that nothing has changed. This is still the same ole Philbin Dolphins that failed at the end of the past two seasons. Just looks like another mediocre team maybe even worse than last years squad. Very disappointed, but I guess I should have known better, just sucks being a Dolphins fan.

None of us could have seen this D line being THIS bad. I mean, not getting a sack is one thing, but Bortles was behind a backup O Line, camping out back there cooking hot dogs on a firepit.
 
I swear Dolphin fans are delusional....you spend all offseason bragging about your team with no proof they improved and the first time you lose a game you freak out like its the end of the world....when you replace most of your skill players have back ups playing LB, spend 60 million guaranteed on a DL who eats up blockers and don't address your OL in FA with a veteran, then you will start the season like this.....the only thing that keeps me from acting like you guys is I thought this team went backwards with the moves it made this off season and draft....we are a mediocre team.....we were a mediocre team last yr, a mediocre team this winter, after the draft and during the summer, nothing changed....the only good thing about it is, we have a lot of company....getting a WC spot can be had with a 9-7 record the way things look now.....if we can get our 100 million dollar QB to win that one or two games at the end of season we will be in the playoffs.......long season ahead of us, don't quit now...let me give you a little advise, dont expect your mediocre team to go undefeated on the season just because RT completed 70% of his 15 passes he threw this summer, understand each game will be a dog fight that we will have a chance to win and hope we win more than we lose....if you do that you will enjoy the season a lot more......trust me
 
I had decided that last year if they don't make the playoffs, I was going to stop watching the Dolphins so religiously. Then the hype came and I figured I was jumping ship one year to early. Starting to look and feel like I should have trusted my first instinct. God damn I'm stupid. This ****ing team
