why it takes us son long to find real gems in the draft even though the guys picking were not the brightest. I look at at team like the bills very good young players, and might be this years cinderella team edwards playing smart ball, evans, hardy, parrish young wr core and then lynch a very good rb , and a very fast defense. We definetely missed the bus on something. i guess we had players like that and we got rid of them chambers and welker how badly do we miss them now

It's a systemic problem that's been going on for a long time. As much as I love Schula, he pulled some major stinkaroonies of drafts too.

we play the chargers after new england, and mark my words, chambers will torch our secondary and laugh

It is a matter of quantity... even the best talent evaluators miss more then they hit... the fact is we have had eras of regimes that simply did not value draft picks... And instead of collecting them in bunches we gave them away in bunches. That will catch up to you.

Look at this last draft, Murphy picked up 2 rounds ahead of Thomas but Donald was the starter from day 1... You just never really know.

Also never forget the talent pool is only so deep so 'timing' in terms of what players are available is also a factor.

The only real way to build and build deep, is to assemble the best scouting department you can, horde those picks and then take as many shots as possible... I think this regime got that memo.

it's a combination of bad drafting and bad coaching. the greatest players don't need to be coached up too much once they hit the NFL, but the borderline ones can go either way, and a bad coaching staff won't make him good

umm jimmy johnson got us madison, surtain, JT, he was great at drafting he was the single reason we were competitive from 98-03

i know this draft in a couple of years is going to pay off
