I was looking at prospects for the 2010 and its a very deep draft

I know Im looking way ahead and the I finally figured out Mock Drafts are complete garbage and so called Expert grades are a joke. When guys like Duke Robinson goes in the 5th after manyt had him going in the 1st and DJ Moore one of the best CB in the draft goes 4th round I have no faith in rankings anymore. Have you guys seen the WR position. Most of the guys are at least 6'2"-6'4" The guy from Memphis Carlos Singleton is 6'8" 220lbs. He runs around a 4.6/40 so he is not real fast but has there ever been a WR at 6'8". He would be a huge redzone threat. There are a ton of WR in the draft and we could find our #1 there. Dez Bryant if hes there when we pick could turn into a great pro. Lafell, Decker , Gilyard, and Mitchell could be 2nd round picks. This DT draft is the deepest I have ever seen. I think you could find a guy in the 4-5th rounds and they could come in and start. McCoy, Suh, Cody, Marsh, Austin, Jenkins , Atkins , Robinson, Granger, Oghabaase. And the LB/DE position is equally as deep. This is the draft I would like to have as many picks as posible. I would trade as many guys as I could to get as many picks as possible. I would trade down in the 1st if we get an offer. I think as of right now we have 9 picks. I would love to see us get at least 12.
 
I've looked ahead as well, I like the quarterbacks especially Jimmy Clausen although were set there, pretty average running back class, very fast though, honestly not blown away by the wide out class but its above average, pretty solid tight ends and offensive linemen. On defense unreal depth at nose tackle and a pretty solid group of pass rushers not to mention two of the best safety prosects I've seen in a while in Eric Berry and Taylor Mays. Keep in mind by 2010 these rankings will likely get flipped upside down.
 
The 2010 draft is deep at the 2 positions i think Miami is weakest in right now... 1) DT/NT and 2) WR!!!! also look for the LB Miami passed on in 2009... there are 4-5 that could be 1st round guys in 2010... Miami has two 6th rounders as well as two 7th rounders... not much fire power IMO... but the 2010 draft is looking REAL STELLAR... i'm pumped already for draft day!!!

I'm interested about what wideouts your interested, right now I look at these guys as being about a little more then half way between the 2008 and 2009 classes.
 
It's interesting you bring up the topic of next year's draft. What many people fail to realize with Miami's front office is that they are forward thinkers that plan ahead a few years and they allow that forward planning to influence today's picks. In other words, they may have their eyes on certain players at certain positions that will be in next year's draft and that is why they did or did not draft for that need this year. Make sense?

It is the same principle as managing the cap. You want to manage your cap where you can have money to sign FA's not only this year but those FA's for the next two years. They have to always be looking ahead to keep from putting the team in a corner where it is stuck and can't make the moves needed to win.
 
I like the fact that the NT position looks very healthy for the 2010 draft, but let's face it, there's no way we get Cody. With OLB's like Spikes and Herzlich as well as conversion guys like Selvie, we might just find our OLB in round 1 and come back for NT and WR later. Regardless, it's looking like next year's draft is going to have more talent than this year's did. Fortunately for us, it looks like the positions we'll need will be deep for the 2010 draft too.

its like that every year. rem how deep the S class was supposed to be and so forth. Once u get into Nov,Dec and Jan u realize the class is weaker then expected and stronger in the most random spots taht originally weren't.
