I was really hoping that Flacco was still on the board a couple years ago when we were up and admit that I was somewhat disappointed when we took Henne...despite the fact that I absolutely knew we had to draft a young QB.

I was never really impressed with Henne in college after seeing Ohio State literally beat the crap out of him seemingly every year.

Leading up to Monday's game, something in my gut was telling me that Henne would not be the answer for us. I'm here to say that I was flat out totally blown away and shocked by the way he played. I'm also here to announce that I am officially on the f***ing train, baby, and I pray that I don't have to get off.

After so many years of post-#13 frustration, please let us have finally found our new qb....PLEASE!

A-Men Brother! I am on the Train...Hard. I just hope when he has a bad game everyone realizes he is a rookie and its gunna happen. Instead of jumping off the "Train" and critizing him.

Heres to the Henne Train...Keep on Chuggin Baby!

I'm gonna board the train after two years, then even at that I'm gonna want to see playoff wins, look at Romo. I've seen too many qbs start off strong then fizzle. He is the most promisseing we've had since #13. Also fun fact he's the 13th starting qb since Marino.

I'm on board mostly because he is what we'll be watching for awhile. Watching him have that kind of game vs a good defense was great. He actually had a higher QB rating then Pennington did in any game last season, and Pennington is top 10 all time. Plus we saw his accurate cannon arm. The Jets didnt even touch him, they had no QB hits. It's only 2 great games so it's too early to tell, but come on, that was amazing, so I'm on board hopeful he is the real deal. I think he is.

man, all I know is that he threw that bomb to ginn like 60 yards, with air under it, and hit the man in stride. he can probably throw the ball 70 yards on a line. and that 3rd and 10 completion down to the 4 to Camarillo was an absolute cannon shot! you can hear the 'pop' when the ball hit the receiver in the chest. gorgeous passes.

Chad Henne wow.

Those passes were like bullets. he showed such great poise and his arm is just a rocket man. if he can keep this up hes really going to snag headlines.

Oh ya I'm on the also, I've got my ticket :hump:

I don't know if I would say he had the crap beat out of him every year against Ohio State. He did play poorly his senior year in which he was 11 for 34, 68 yards 0 TD 0 Int.

His other 3 years (Freshman - Junior) he was 73 of 125, 818 yards 5 TD 2 Int, and the Wolverines scored 81 points (27ppg) in those contests.

I would also like to get onboard.....but not before I pay....my respects to Chad Pennington. Why? I have noticed a more secure Chad Henne when he has the ball....it doesnt burn his finger to just throw it out for grabs....He showed great poise on Monday, not to mention throws that would knock the air out of a brick wall....So, maybe those Sunday afternoons holding Chad Penningtons clipboard are paying off...Its not just how hard or how long.....its game managment as well, man Im excited!!!!

Well let's put this in perspective. Brian Griese led Michigan to the national title(shared) with Tom Brady as his backup. Now which would you rather have?

Then Michigan Alumni Tom Brady was randomly sent into the starter role when his veteran QB got hurt. Hmm sound familiar? Actually Henne has played better then Brady did in Brady's first two games. Didn't Henne break some of Brady's Michigan records?

the one thing i couldnt stand was how much hype dirty sanchez got. and henne got nothing. he outplayed sanchez and the talking heads were still braggin how sanchez this and sanchez that. it straight pissed me off

I watched him in college and I have to say. The year of sitting behind penny has done wonders for henne. Just watching him go through his reads monday night was impressive. He also threw the ball away when he had to. Playing on a stage like this and bringing his team back in the fourth was so impressive. Chad Henne's first comeback in the fourth quarter hopefully one of many.

i think it's mostly because sanchez is a true rookie and has started 4 games already and did decent. henne was still an unknown 2nd year player only starting one game against the bills.

When you consider the fact that he was on a national stage in prime time, had barely any playing time to speak of, and was playing a divisional game versus the Jets it makes all that much more mind-boggling.

I think he learned quite a bit from that pick in the SD game. I know he's going to make mistakes, but I get the feeling he's not going to make a lot of them. he strikes me as being too disciplined.

Some of us had said before a good run game and solid pass protection is every QB's wet dream. Henne proved that even with only 1 start under his belt that when given time he can pick the best defense apart.

It's the same train as our secondary, if they don't get a pass rush they too will get exposed. When they get a good pass rush they look like world beaters.

The bottom line is we have stepped it up as a team and need to continue to do so in order to compete this year for the division title again.
