Great season phin fans from our team. Lot of high's this year and finally a playoff game. However, I will not be happy about a first round playoff exit next year or week to week bad games. The expectations just went way up. We need to continue to build on what we have especially with the defense and tinker a little with the o-line. Love this team and our future.
Much love to the fans that stuck through these long miserable seasons of past.

Agreed. This year was the first step. The next goal is to build on a 10-6 season and actually win a playoff game (hasn't happened in 16 years. That's a crime).

Don't be the Jets and go from 10-6 to half that the next year.

You shouldn't be happy now. You Should say you will more disappointed than you are now if this happens again next season.

They only beat 1 team with a winning record during the season...which was the steelers...what exactly did you expect them to do? They are last season's Jets who got an incredibly favorable schedule.

None of us are happy. I guarantee Gase isn't happy.
Understanding how handicapped this team was with so many injuries and missing their starting QB I have a sense of perspective, which is apparently missing by many (see above post)
Had the situations been reversed, the Phins run the Steelers out of their own stadium.

The sophomore wall is a real threat with the schedule next year. Consistency is the real goal. Gase will be tested next year.

Thing is, is that everybody thought this years schedule was tough when it was released. Ya never know. But, I agree, Gase will be tested. We have to keep getting better.

Advancing in the playoffs is very much dependent on getting homefield in the playoffs.

Nowadays you only get a home playoff game if you are a division winner.

tom brady is still playing.

Do the math.

We were the masters at "win a wild card game at home and lose on the road the next round" for many years. When the NFL changed the format we were at a disadvantage, and then the evil empire began. We could wind up 12-4 some year and be on the road to start the playoffs and we would have no better shot than we had today.

An announcer said during the Jets game the worst thing for Todd Bowles to do was go 10-6 his first season because expectations were beyond the roof this season.

I don't agree that it could be "the worst" thing to go 10-6, but expectations will be playoffs next year. Anything less isn't good enough.

Looking at next year's schedule today is pointless. When we looked at this year's schedule over the offseason, it looked daunting. Opening at Seattle and NE. Back-to-back games on the west coast. Very few early home games. Games against Baltimore, Arizona, late-season games in NJ and Buffalo.

I am not worried about the schedule. Get healthy. Draft to improve the defense. Sign a few quality free agents. And importantly, keep the relevant pieces (Stills) in Gase's offense for another year. All of this will take care of the schedule in 2017.

Get real people. Anyone that thought the 2016 fins would be in the playoff before the season started was high. Even Vegas projected 7 wins. 7 wins was a fair assessment. Anything was gravy. To be expecting a win in the playoff or more is dilusional. Success would be another winning season, playoff appearance would be gravy. Year 3 is were no playoff appearance would be a failure. See the chargers and McCoy first year playoff appearance rest well you know. I expect Gase and company to do no better then this year if they repeat in my eyes it would be a success.

Next year's goal is beat our record of 2016 of 10-6 (WILD CARD #6) and get either a #5 SEED or better even a DIVISION TITLE and bye if possible. Expectations now go up Ross stated that clearly. But, I also want to see consistency from GAME 1 period. We also need to beat the teams we are not supposed to beat like (Patriots at home and at Foxbourgh (must sweep them its time really), Broncos (at home), Raiders (at home), Saints (in London), Falcons (away) and Baltimore (away)). So in preseason I predicted a 9-7 record they went 10-6 and a playoff appearance. The exceeded my expectations. Since they went 10-6 in my eyes they will have to go 11-5 or better. Success in NFL or in life is consistency. As I watched Adam Gase's presser I felt his he was not satisfied with results and hold back his tears and anger. That's what I love about him always pissed off and always wanting more. What if they had all of their roster intact? No injuries to RT, Jones, Pouncey, Misi, and etc. would the results be different? We will never know really. On to the off-season make us better and let the chips fall where they may. GO DOLPHINS!!!! SEE U ALL NEXT SEASON 2017!!!

I need to focus on getting a career again. Bridger Steel let me go this Winter after 7 long years of being a Tower Tech and starting over is a pistol when you make $85,000 a year to down to nothing. I have a CDL maybe I go drive trucks again who knows.

But, Dolphins football has been a part of my life since age 12 and I am 46 and I love them like my own family seriously. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in them I miss my life in general.

I am also a a die-hard Los Angeles Kings fan since 1982. What they accomplished in 2012 and 2014 is amazing. Our Dolphins are on their way boys and girls and soon we will all see another Lombardi. God bless and see you all next year!

Just stop. They are responsible for two of those teams having losing records. They won the games they were supposed to, unlike in previous years, and did it without gimmick, unlike 2008. It's a solid foundation to build on and there is no reason to believe they can't be in the playoff hunt next year too, barring Tannenbum popping a squat and ****ting all over the roster.
