My Thoughts on what we need and how to fix it through FA and Draft

For starters Im just a fan and so many of you guys bust everyones chops just for posting thoughts and ideas. We are all fans and no one has any clue what is going to happen. I am posting thoughts that I have put together this offseason. And in my opinion we need these positions filled. So sont post if you dont have anything good to say cause if I busted your nads over your post youd be unhappy. We all are here cheering for the same team. I understand we are all pissed that we stink and have for years. Marino was our savior but he is gone now time to move on and realize we might not ever have a QB even 50%as good as he was. But here are my ideas of how to fill the positions we need. Let me know what you think Im always interested in hearing what fans from around the globe feel about our team. In Tennessee Im one of the few dolphins fans.

#1 OT I think we will address this in the draft. Im torn between Chris and Jake in the draft. But I think we will take Jake Long with Sparano and BP.
Then we will hopefully get Cherilus, Nicks, Otah. I for one hate using 1st and 2nd round picks on Lineman. I think a skill player should be picked with these.
we could always bring in Anthony Clement, Jason Fabini, or Barry Sims from FA. But we could always bring back Rosenthal or Shelton for a StopGap until next years draft. There are always lineman coming out every year that can start. Should we use 2 of the top 60 picks on them?

#2 DB We have Lehan, Allen , Allen, and Bell. Allen is ok in coverage and J. Allen is yet to be a playmaker. We need a shutdown corner in case we cant get a great rush on the QB or at least a couple of good CB that can defend. One name that comes to mind is Andre Dyson from the Jets in FA. I think its worth giving him a look anyways. Hes only 28 and he can play he can at least be our #2 after drafting a #1. Foxworth is stilla FAand is only 24. Will play for a good price. We should at least talk to both of them and see what they are about. In the draft Id like to take a CB with #64 Justin King and with the #186 Antwaun Molden CB Eastern Kentucky. Check out his combine he is a shutdown corner and will be a sleeper and great pick in the 6th round.

#3 TE - With Martin , Ryan , and Pelle our TE is one of the worst in the league. This years draft is very very deep in TE that can be good in the league. I see alot of mocks taking Carlson #96. The scouts say is the top TE prospect in the country. I think the top 8 are all similar and can do the job. I think we can get someome good with our #190 pick. Gary Barnigde who is 6'6" 235lbs or Jermichael Finley who is 6'5" 236 lbs will prob be here then. They are really good prospects and we have to get a sure handed TE to bail Beck out with short passes. These two are huge and have good hands and would be worth a 6 round pick. I think we should have signed Utecht.

#4 QB The only reason I dont have this as our #1 is that I think we can make it through the year with Beck and McCown if we have to and pick up a QB in a trade next year. I for one would like to pick Flacco , Henne , or even Brennen somewhere in the draft. I would say #57 but i dont think Henne or Flacco will be there and Brennen is a 6th or 7th round pick. By al means if hes there in the 6th get him. But I dont like Beck myself but I loved him coming out of college something just tells me hes not a NFL QB. Ive always liked McCown but hes always on a bad team. If we can get a line and another reciever and TE I think he can make a playoff team out of us. Chris Simms is another option and I think BP likes him.

#5 DE I think we need another DE if we keep JT and 2 if we trade him. I would really like to spend the #32 on Groves or the #1 on Long. I think as much as I hate to say it --Trade JT for a 1st or preferably a 2nd and 3rd/4th. He is great DE but is aging and talked about retirement last year and this year. Do you guys think if we are 1-15 again he is going to stay.NO. And next year he is going to be a year older and his talent will have slipped a liitle more giving us maybe a 3rd or a 4th for him in a trade if he doesnt retire. Or worse we could be stuck with him for nothing. Get something while you can BP. I would love to take Calias Campbell with our 96 pick

#6 WR I know we got Wilford and have Ginn but hats all we have. Perry is a ST only and is hurt full time. I think we have to get a FA like a Darrell Jackson and yes I know he drops balls but is a veteran who can still play and prob cheap. Nate Washington is a FA. I think the draft is full of late round playmakers. Id like to get Kevin Robinson Utah State, Jerome Simpson Coastal Carolina, Adarius Bowman in the late rounds all mocks Ive seen have them available in the 6th rounds. If hardy falls to 32 its hard to pass on him. With 57 I think Jordy Nelson could fall as well as Andre Caldwell. But if we have Ginn , Wilford, Robinson/Simpson/Bowman. D Jackson lined up Beck has some good targets to prove whether he belongs here or not. And I definately think McCown can make us good with these players.

We could use a LB , S, and DT as well but we cant address all needs in the draft.

At safety I would love to sign Mike Doss though to ensure we have a player there if Allen or Bell is hurt or doesnt perform.
And at LB Id like BP to at least bring in Kendrell Bell, Roosevelt Colvin, Ian Gold, Clark Haggan, Spikes , or Trotter to take a look at and think if one of these players would help us out so we can focus the draft on other needs. Al of these players are proven. I like Gold and Bell the best. alot of people have us taking Lofton in the draft. I wouldnt mind to take Beau Bell, Phil Wheeler , Crable, Goff late in the draft.

Here is my lineup if my thoughts come true and it can happen so dont say it cant. Its all possible and not a crazy day dream mock lineup

QB= Beck,McCown,Flacco/Henne
RB=Brown,Williams,Booker
FB=Mauai,Grigsby
TE=Gary Barnidge,Ryan,Pelle
WR=Ginn,Wilford,Jerome Simpson, D. Jackson
LT =Carey,Sims
LG=Shane Olivea(FA), Naeole(FA) either one
C=Satele,Mormino
RG=Smiley,Ndukwe(I know hes a LG)
RT=Nicks

LDE=Chris Long,Vonnie Holliday
DT=Tripplett (FA)Ferguson
RDE=Randy Starks,Roth
LOLB=Taylor,Moses
LILB=Bell/Wheeler
RILB=Crowder,Smith
ROLB=Porter,Wright
CB=Allen,Andre Dyson(FA),Molden
CB=Lehan,Justin King,
SS=Bell,Doss(FA)/Jones
FS=Allen,Hill

Draft #1Chris Long
#32 Nicks
#57Flacco/Henne
#64 Justin King
#96 Bell or Wheeler
#186 Antwaun Molden
#190 Jerome Simpson/Kevin Robinson
#205 Gary Barnidge
#210 Bowman/Brennen
The last 3 are picks I seen we we have on all the 7 round mock drafts and we also has 240 and 254 but i didnt add them and yes Barnidge , Bowman and Brennen were all there. Barnidge might not be cause he is real good.

FA signings #1Shane Olivea(He had one bad year), #2 Andre Dyson(Might be a starter and our#1) #3 Mike Doss(Better than Allen and Bell) #4 Larry Tripplett #5 Barry Sims To back up Carey

Yu know, when I was looking at the free agent list I also wondered why we didn't go after Foxworth, he's a decent back.
