Mark Parson is a guy kind of under the radar. But I have seen several games of his and he is a true shutdown corner. His stats are terrible kind of like Asomugha. But that is only because teams only threw his way 1.35 times per game. He is a press corner and excels in man coverage. He is 5'10" 192 lbs and runs a 4.38/40. He is a little undersized but plays unusually strong for his size. Scouts say he has an uncanny ability to to cover WR one-on-one and has great instincts. He moves his hips fluidly and is very quick. He makes open field tackles. He has a great jamming technique. Scouts say he is a natural cover CB and has potential to have a great NFL career. He is the best cover CB in the draft.
Dominique Johnson has already been compared to DR Cromartie. He is also considered a shutdown CB. He is 6'2", 186 lbs and runs a 4.35-4.4/40. He has great speed and great instincts. Very Intelligent, willing to make tackles and hit. Fluid hips. Long Arms. Physical and Aggressive. Great Hands and ball skills. CONFIDENT. he will probably be a 2nd round pick but I am hoping he is there in the 3rd.
Either of these guys could come in and start right away. Both have the ability to be shutdown CB in the NFL. I like Parson better than Johnson but I would take either. Oh yeah Parson returns kicks too so that helps.
