IMO, thats the way to go.. Again, he would only present value to the Dolphins for a 2007 Superbowl run... He would be extra, just like he was in 2005.

Now, if he tested POSITIVE, cut him..

Thoughts?

I'm not trying to be mean or rude, but honestly that is just an incredible opinion to have.

If Wicky is suspended for this year, no matter the reason his career is over. If he didn't give them a sample it would be naive to think he was not doing drugs. I believe common sense dictates that you assume that is why he didn't give the sample, or why he put himself in a position to not easily give that sample. A normal person wouldn't risk their career and their families well being simply because they wanted to take a vaction. It makes no sense.

According to some of the missed test reports, he told the league he was in India, but there may have been a miscommunication over the date.. IMO, if he missed a test, it does not mean he is lighting up again, imo it just means that Ricky is a bit of a space cadet in terms of responsibility...

As such, if he didnt cave into drug use again, he only presents value in a return in 2007, even if its for 2 games..

he srewed us again, how many times does he have to hurt the dolphins before people realize that he isn't worthy to wear a Dolphin uniform

I agree and yet I don't. Weird eh? I agree that if he is out this entire year, then his career is essentially over. We all know why he came back (avoiding the 8 million he owed Wayne ) and we all know the guy has plenty of interests outside of football. If the NFL says hey, you are out for the year, I think Ricky wouldn't mind just making that permanent.

Not to mention the fact that every other team won't touch him now. Whether this was a missed test or a failed one, it reminds everyone how close he is to being gone forever seemingly.

I don't know if you can assume the reason he didn't give a sample is because he was using again. I think Ricky is really that aloof that he owuld leave without telling or going through the proper motions. Or, he flat out forgot. I wouldn't put it past him.

I just assume avoid all this and let him go. I was against him returning in the first place. Although he did well this season, I still think he is too much of a distraction and a risk to be relied on.

At this point, he's not screwing anybody except himself.

That's based on my 9-year experience of dealing with drug users.

I worked with drug users myself. I dunno if I would bunch any group of people together. Most people have smoked weed. I really dont think he smoked but I dont really care either. I just want it to be settled

To each their own. Like I said, I agree with your overall assesment. If he is gone for all of 2006, I assume he will be gone for good.
