I'd like to make a point. We should have not of lost this game. We were in a position to win. The reason I bring this up is because our team is CLEARLY inferior in terms of talent. The point I'm trying to make is we outplayed them in the first half and put ourselves in a great spot. Yes we choked, but that's also because we were playing the best team in the league. In terms of talent we might be in ranked in the middle. I think it says a lot about our organization that we are doing more with less then most. We have had a tough schedule and we've been in almost in every game. Lets face it we don't have all the pieces, but for what we have the organization is doing well. That said I think that play calling yesterday was an issue, but so was execution. If you keep a better team in the game long enough they will eventually beat you because they have better players. Right after the game I wanted Hennings head. But at least we can hang our hat on the fact that we are doing a lot with a little. Look how brilliant and daring the wildcat is in the NFL. That proves the organization is going in the right direction and that we have some smart personnel in this organization.

We are a young team even at the head coaching position. Lets give the organization time to develop. Hopefully this loss will be something we can build off (unfortunately I was hoping that loss was the Colts game).

Im not going to sit here and say we dont have the talent and the Saints do.

Really? Brees, Meachem, Colston, Henderson, Moore, Bush, Thomas. Come on thats like 2 pro bowl players. On a good season. Talent or w/e we were up 24-3 and blew it b/c of bad play calling, bad referee calls, bad execution, and bad ethusiasm for the game. It happens but not because we were less talented than they are. The same team went 8-8 last season. We have the talent, its the utilization that fails.

Good stuff. It is a very valid point that we are a clearly less talented, less developed team than those we're pushing as hard as we are. The fact that we have dominated for spurts the best teams in the league is a testament to how right the path we are on is. If the team (Tony) would just admit to and address our glaring holes at WR, ILB, TE and FS then we are tantalizingly close to contending.
