They took him out right after that big return, makes me think they're gonna try to hide him on the PS, but I hope we keep him.
Light years ahead of any other returner option we have. Jones is a legit returner talent. I'm all for keeping that kind of playmaking talent.
It would be a shame to lose Hazel too. He's looking substantially improved and polished. There are a number of teams in this league where he'd be their 3rd WR.

Tough decisions- Hazel, Jones, LaMike
Jones seems to have the ability to change field position on special teams which is something we have not had in quite some time. I would much rather keep him then someone else that we will never actually played all year. If having a long snapper is important enough to keep a spot open then I think returner should get the same consideration. However, I am NOT a football coach.

Me too - make him the return specialist and be done with it. Dude seems like he could really make a difference as a returner

Christion Jones had a decent preseason. But keep in mind that there's a reason he went undrafted. His upside is limited.
He's 5'10", 182 lbs, with 4.63 speed, who struggled with fumbles, and will never be a decent WR.

I heard on the finsiders earlier someone had reported Lamike was staying...not really excited about that myself.
Well LaMike tweeted recently he has not made the 53. We still have a few days for the roster to settle, even after 4 tom.
He posted this a couple hours ago, sounds like there's still a chance he may be released.

Only way Jones stays is if Hazel gets traded or cut, and I don't see that happening.
After seeing that return I'm kind of shocked he only ran a 4.6
I agree the staff is high on Hazel, they know if Jones is consistent or is worth the roster spot. We tend to covet our younger guys with potential but I have read today where a few teams released fringe players that excelled on returns but were not much of a factor in the offense. Those types of guys are out there so I won't be surprised if Jones is cut and we are able to retain him to the practice squad.
