Re-sign

R.Brown
A.Fasano
D.Bess
N.Jones
J.Taylor

Cut

J.Porter
G.Wilson
R.Torbor

Free Agency

A.Rolle FS - FS is a huge need for us, I don't want to experiment with Bell at FS and G.Wilson at SS or wait for another draft pick to develope. Rolle has been speculated as a cut in Arizona because he has met all his incentives and will be due 14mil this year.

Other options at FS... R.Clark Pitt, D.Sharper NO

R.Pickett NT - Another big need for us, GB has drafted BJ to replace him. This is another position that it normanlly takes time to see an impact from a drafted NT.

Other options at NT... C.Hampton Pitt, re-sign J.Ferguson

2010 Draft

1. R.McClain ILB - if we're lucky enough to get him he would fill another big need bumping Akin to back-up duty. McClain is a stud, playing in a 34 in college gives him an easy transition into our defense. McClain instantly makes Crowder a better ILB, he takes the pressure off him to let him make tackles while McClain will make plays.

2. *Draft day trade* we send this pick and G.Cam WR to KC for their early 2nd moving up a handfull of spots because of a player dropping....
G.Tate WR - A potential number 1 receiver that has something the rest of our receivers don't, a knack for YAC! Tate being a former RB has great hands and the fearlessness to dominate the middle. Speed, hands, ability and the most NFL ready WR coming out of college.

3. D.Pitta TE - 6'5 250 w a 4.66 40, has been an unbelieveable productive TE in the passing game at BYU. Dennis gives us the stretch the field TE Henne needs, lining him up with Fasano gives us a couple nice options. Haynos and Sperry battle for the 3rd TE spot in training camp as the blocking TE.

4. J.Cunningham OLB - 6'3 250 w running just under a 4.7. Hard working non stop motor, can sit and learn from JT before being counted on to help out. Our staff loves to develope guys putting them in successful situations before allowing them to take over, see Wake, Clemons, Turner and Henne for further proof on that.

For our next picks I'd go with a project at NT (Solai has 1 more year), ILB project, OLB project and maybe another Olineman. I'll need to do some more investigating to figure those names out though.

I love your plan, but it's tough to see Tate dropping out of the 1st round. He might wind up the top WR prospect depending on the combine. Brandon Lafell is a bit more realistic.

Still, you never know.

That wouldn't be a difficult Offseason IMO. You should seriously print that and send to FO lol. But its not to far fetched IMO

Outside of the players you want to re-sign and drafting McClain I'm not crazy about any of it.

I think Porter is gone, I think he knows that too.

I'm not sure they are gonna give up on Wilson so quick, he isnt costing us that much money.

Same with Torbor.

Pass on Rolle. Not that he wouldnt be an upgrade, but because I think we still need to give Chris Clemons a shot at starting FS. The kid has the tools, now with a year under his belt we should see what he can do.

Our secondary will be much better next year even if we don't make any changes. Question is, what are we gonna do with Will Allen? My guess is trade bait.

I REALLY don't like your solutions for NT either. We need homegrown talent here, I'll be surprised if we don't draft one on the first day.

I'd also forego drafting a TE this year. Yea, this is a personal thing, but I want to see us get Vernon Davis from SF, he would be amazing for us, but might need to wait till 2011.

Spend a boat load of money on some WR talent. We can't afford to keep shopping in the scratch and dent isle at skill positions. Baggage or not, bring in one of the studs.

I also wouldnt mind seeing us offload Crowder and his bloated contract to some unsuspecting team. Ditto that for Vernon Carey, Jason Allen, Ted Ginn and Pat White.

I see us drafting in pairs again, probably 2 ILBs and 2 interior Oline. Our LB play was horrible across the board, and our interior Oline can't stay healthy.

i'd rather trade Bess than Camarillo. Cam is so realiable and bess droped a few passes he should of had.
If we could do the 2nd and bess i think they may throw back our 5th as well.

I know Rolle is from South Fl, but he hates the Dolphins...............

But then again money talks, it's just hard to see the cut a high paying FS and then try to replace him with another one.

If we cut Wilson, he's still on the books for something like 6mill next year.So i could us cutting him , but not spending alot again on a FS.I see them getting a ok FS in FA then drafting one with our 1st 3 picks.Money wise that just makes more since to me.

With this draft being so loaded with talent, I think its essential we obtain another high pick, a late 1st or 2nd rounder would be ideal. If that did happen, the Fins could then look at getting top talent at WR, ILB and OLB. I dunno how we would go about acquiring an extra 2nd rounder, but I think it would give us tons of options. We could potentially then go a number of ways like Bryant, Pierre-Paul and Spikes or even Hughes, a WR and Spikes.

I like the moves of Rolle and Pickett. That Packers front three has been the reason their defense is much improved and Pickett has been very good this season. I dunno if Rolle will become available, but we wait and see.

Torbor makes over 3mil to be a backup, that`s way to much. There should be a rookie in his place learning the job to eventually take over.

Rolle played at a probowl level, meaning real freakin' well, he would be a serious upgrade. I realize the FO may not give up on Wilson yet but he will always be a square peg in a round hole at FS and there's a chance he slides to SS and Bell gets the boot.

I know the CB's will be better but any CB in football needs strong FS support to fully do their jobs, so we would be forcing ours to continue to struggle by doing nothing. Clemons maybe able to do the job but if not then we're in for a real long year again and I'm not willing to take that chance I want someone who has already done it.

W.Allen will not be trade bait unless we want another 6th or 7th round pick and there's no value there.

If you want to grow a NT then be prepared to wait 3 or 4 years for him to develope. Solai is a FA next yearand we're finally seeing some production out of him after 3 years, also Fergy is old and starting to break down. We need instant impact at NT, the position is too crucial to wait and there actually will be some available in FA. If we do wait then your making sure our ILB's struggle again.

You'll be waiting along time to see V.Davis hit the open market, he's the best young TE in the game and will never see the light of day just as the top WR's won't, he's way to valueable. Plus the franchise tag on TE's is still pretty cheap so I wouldn't hold my breath on that one!

What WR do you want to throw serious money at? Marshall, Jackson? These guys are not available in FA, Marshall needs to be traded for and will cost us a tonne which will hinder the draft for us. There are no great FA WR's out there, A.Bryant is a good one that maybe able to ask for top dollar because there's no one else.

Not in an uncapped season, this is why I think the owners do nothing this year. There's a tonne of contracts they'd like to dump for various reasons. Until there is an agreement for a new CBA teams can dump salaries and there's no floor so they can have 40mil dollar rosters if they want. Buffalo, TB, Jack to name a few could easily drop their payroll down that far.

If we could trade down this year, picking up an extra second, I wouldn't be opposed to trading one of those 2nd's this year in order to get a 1st next year. Next year's talent is quite possibly better than this year's.

Not a fan of Dennis Pitta. COuldn't block his way out of a wet paper-bag. Jimmy Graham from the "U" is the better option

I understand your point but I'm looking at it as a pass catching TE that stretches the field, leave the blocking to Haynos\Sperry and Fasano. I want Pita down field taking Safeties with him opening up the run and underneath pass game.

I'll give you 3 scenario's for our off-season that intrigue me. I am only going to "mock" the first 4 rounds as I am not qualified to know what the Dolphins will do in those rounds. These scenario's include only major free agent signings.
