A.Rolle FS - FS is a huge need for us, I don't want to experiment with Bell at FS and G.Wilson at SS or wait for another draft pick to develope. Rolle has been speculated as a cut in Arizona because he has met all his incentives and will be due 14mil this year.
Other options at FS... R.Clark Pitt, D.Sharper NO
R.Pickett NT - Another big need for us, GB has drafted BJ to replace him. This is another position that it normanlly takes time to see an impact from a drafted NT.
Other options at NT... C.Hampton Pitt, re-sign J.Ferguson
2010 Draft
1. R.McClain ILB - if we're lucky enough to get him he would fill another big need bumping Akin to back-up duty. McClain is a stud, playing in a 34 in college gives him an easy transition into our defense. McClain instantly makes Crowder a better ILB, he takes the pressure off him to let him make tackles while McClain will make plays.
2. *Draft day trade* we send this pick and G.Cam WR to KC for their early 2nd moving up a handfull of spots because of a player dropping....
G.Tate WR - A potential number 1 receiver that has something the rest of our receivers don't, a knack for YAC! Tate being a former RB has great hands and the fearlessness to dominate the middle. Speed, hands, ability and the most NFL ready WR coming out of college.
3. D.Pitta TE - 6'5 250 w a 4.66 40, has been an unbelieveable productive TE in the passing game at BYU. Dennis gives us the stretch the field TE Henne needs, lining him up with Fasano gives us a couple nice options. Haynos and Sperry battle for the 3rd TE spot in training camp as the blocking TE.
4. J.Cunningham OLB - 6'3 250 w running just under a 4.7. Hard working non stop motor, can sit and learn from JT before being counted on to help out. Our staff loves to develope guys putting them in successful situations before allowing them to take over, see Wake, Clemons, Turner and Henne for further proof on that.
For our next picks I'd go with a project at NT (Solai has 1 more year), ILB project, OLB project and maybe another Olineman. I'll need to do some more investigating to figure those names out though.
