i truly belive that if AJ had an Oline he would be much better, did you guys notice that everytime he had atleast like 3 seconds to throw he found chambers or mcmike. and even sometimes while a linebacker was running straight for him..he made some good plays..i cant imagine what the score would have been with jay in there.

First off I really don't know how so many people are still worshiping AJ. He stunk up the place...sure the o-line sucked but the bottom line is he made bad decisions and some horrible throws. Everything the media has been saying about him showed. I'm not a Feidler fan I'm a Dolphin fan that is sick of trying to back crappy qb's every season because of a lack of knowledge and bad decision making by coaches and the front office. Did anyone expect this o-line to be good? John St.Claire is a starter! Thats pathetic. Worse than that is that the only returning lineman is even worse. I've never seen such a horrible o-line it's worse than last year. I feel bad for Zach, JT and the rest of the D. They played an excellent game regardless of all of the 3 and outs our offense had. They're gonna get a lot more injuries with all of the time they have to play. Zach should lead the league in tackles at this pace.

I dont think AJ had a good game, he seemed to force the play more often than not, but it was his first start for a new team on a Nationally televised game againt a very motivated team right now, so there was bound to be a huge amount of pressure. Even if Jay played I dont think the score line would have been any different - there just wasn't enough time to throw or set up the run behind such a poor OL showing.

If DW is prepared to leave AJ in the starting line up to proove what he can do, he might as well put VC in the line too and With DMac returning at least this gives some hope (though unproven in VC's case..but what have they got to lose?)

I might add that I'm in no way being defeative here and still think we could end up with a respectable record, but they drafted a guy in the first round who to date hasn't been better or worse than St Clair so whats the harm in putting him in the game and see what happens? I've heard that same players just dont practice well but when game time comes they're right into it - this cold be the case with Carey. JMO

AJ will be fine...when given a little time. He just showed his inexperience by trying to force plays instead of dumping the ball, thats just youth. Bottom line is we need an O-Line and squash the injury bug. Injuries are starting to mount up and we've only played 2 games.

I agree that we will have a respectable record, but in all honesty, do we really want one? Do you want to be 9-7 or 8-8 and out of the playoffs with crappy draft position? Or would you rather suffer a 4-12 season and draft in the top 10?

Dont get me wrong...I want us in the SB...I just dont see it happening, not this year at least. We have an aging D and a really young O. We need to find out if AJ is the real deal and we need time for our O-line to gel. Remember that 4 of them were not even on the roster last year and the other is in his second year.

We can hold our core Defense together for about another 2-4 years so we have a little rebuilding time for the Offense. A couple of upgrades to the offense through the draft and FA will allow us to make a serious run in that time. Right now we just need to be patient.

You guys cannot judge Feeley based on Sunday nights performance. I don't know whether or not he'll be any good ( I suspect he will, but it's too early to tell), but NOBODY would have been good behind that horrid OL. I watched Kenny O'Brien behind a similar OL for years in the mid/late 80's, and there was nothing he could do.

If you guys want to be pissed off at someone, it should be your GM. He's awful.

You really think Speilman should take the hit for this? Fact is, we had a horrible O-Line at the end of last season and Rick has done a "good job" of getting what was out there (IMO).

I actually think the GM has "treaded water" for his first year (what a year?!?!) and he might be a GEM. I dont feel the same about wanny.....

Although AJ did make his share of mistakes, he was able to hit some of his receivers in stride something that Jay never seem to be able to do. Jays passes always seem to be off target.

I cant believe people are downing AJ's performance. HE HAD NO TIME TO THROW THE BALL!.. LAMAR HAD NO HOLES TO RUN THROUGH!
Sheesh!
Oline people... oline needs addressing.

Even McMicheal said it yesterday at night. AJ has an arm he just needs atleast 3-4 seconds to use it.

so you think if feeley gets someone to block for him, he will stop throwing the ball to linebackers who take it in for 7? i hope your right.

AJ had 3-4 seconds when he threw the INT for a TD. :shakeno: im not saying there isnt any truth to not having a OL, but i am saying is that when he threw INT's, he had time. His accuracy is a misnomer but i think we need a more divers offense where we dont keep looking for chambers and now mcmike all day. spread it around and it will open up.

Come on guys...please. This O-line sucks, period. To even try and evaluate Feeley under these conditions is just silly.

Lets give the team a while to Gell...and THEN lets trash the QB who sucks....LOL

You really think Speilman got the best possible linemen for this team? Last time I checked, St. Clair was like choice 3 at Tackle, Jeno James has been very dissapointing and they missed out on a ton of other OL that have already made an impact on their new teams. Rick might be a good talent evaluator for the draft, being able to find those late round talents but personally I believe he really screwed the pooch when it came to free agency.

Feeley had an o-line in Philly and was effective. Problem was he had bad recievers. Now it's the complete opposite. He has 2 very good recievers and one of the worst o-lines in recent memory. So what I guess I'm saying is Feeley CAN be effective with a decent o-line, but he doesn't have that so it's causing him to play scared and make some incredibly stupid throws. I like Feeley, but I love the Dolphins more...so I'm going to call him out when he makes horrible decisions. (yeah like my opinion actually matters :shakeno: ;) )
