if AJ had an Oline

Jeno James dissapointment?

Jeno James is ONE PERSON and He CANNOT BLOCK 4 DL.

James was supposed to be a stud. But when he is getting holding calls and wiffing on blocks it is very dissapointing. I'm not asking him to block an entire line, just to do his part. In case you havent noticed, no one on the line is cutting the mustard, including James. Hopefully they can get it together but up to this point he has not done anything to show he was a worthwhile signing.

AJ had 3-4 seconds when he threw the INT for a TD. :shakeno: im not saying there isnt any truth to not having a OL, but i am saying is that when he threw INT's, he had time. His accuracy is a misnomer but i think we need a more divers offense where we dont keep looking for chambers and now mcmike all day. spread it around and it will open up.

Miscommunication on that INT. He thought Chambers was running the out, and Chambers cut the route off.

Feeley made a few bad throws, but the kid is just trying to make some things happen.

Until this O line learns how to pick up a blitz, our offense will suck. Plain and simple.

He should have had 7 interceptions in that game.

O-line or not, he was really bad.

OMG....pleaseeee.

Lets allow a fair assessment, same as fieldler...then lets slam AJ.

Yes,Let be fair!

Fiedler would have been crucified with the type of performance that A.J had last Sunday.Don't bring the crap that Jay had 4 years because people were hating on him since DAY 1.

A.J SUCKED LAST GAME!

It just one game though and HOPEFULLY he will improve as season goes on.

First, I hate Fiedler and want Feeley to play still.

Second, look at the tape. 7 balls hit defenders in the hands last night. Only 2 were actually caught.

That's right SEVEN FREAKING BALLS HIT THEIR HANDS!

Right now the old adage is very true.

When you have two QB's, you really have none.

Well.....Feeley is still in the OJT mode...Fieldler has passed this point (4 years plus).
My gut feel right now is to let the O-line reach any reasonable level of profesionalism....then lets compare cards.

Cant really argue the facts thus far...this O is really lost.... :shakeno:

AJ made some mistakes and some good plays and some none factors because of presure. It is not uncommon for a young inexperienced qb to be hyped up and have to get in a groove and settle down. He was under constant pressure, yes, but he doesnt get a free pass as a result. He forced too much, he did not need to, teh first int took three points off the board, which would have resulted in a tie game. Basically AJ mistakes took a game that could gave been 16-7 and made in 16-13 them. Now I know if you change the facts noone knows what would have happened but you are looking at a ten point swing in Cinci favor.

Most of AJ's mistakes can be fixed thru repetition and the offense gelling together, Dave committing to one guy so the offense can gel, and that qb (Feeley my bet), making smart decisions. Once Gordon gels and teh o-line starts getting cohesion, that should help with reducing all out blitzes.

I also point to a thread bashing Wanny for saying we will not abandon thr run. Sunday was an example of what happens when you do not have a run game. We need to be able to run or your inexperienced qb will be put in a position like Sunday where he feels pressure to force a play.

Jay was never put in the position that AJ was in Sunday night. Absolutely no running game and a non existant OL. If Jay was in the game maybe he doesnt throw 2 picks maybe he does, but for certain McMike and Chambers would not have made the catches that they did. When was the last time that Chambers and Mcmike combined for the number of catches that they have had the last two games under Feeley. Even though the coaching staff does not want to admitt it or maybe they dont even recognize it, they are asking AJ to make plays and basically carry the OFFENSE. Jay was never asked to do that he was a care taker QB who would dump the ball off to Ricky etc. on 50% of his throws. They are asking AJ to be more than a care taker so we arent comparing apples to apples.

They say misery loves company, so I figured I would see what you guys had to say about the Fins Sunday night game. I have read some of your posts and no way in he11 can you judge Feeley based on that game. Name any QB in the entire league that could have made plays behind that OL. Vick is maybe the only one that comes to mind. It looked like a jail break every time he dropped back to pass. And seriously, Smith should have been cut yesterday. There were two plays in particular where he didn't even get a hand on his guy. At this level, that is totally unacceptable. Its pretty unfortunate for the Fins too, as I think they have some real threats in the passing game. Just my thoughts. Good luck the rest of the way(except when you play Buffalo), it might be a long year for all of us.

You really think Speilman got the best possible linemen for this team? Last time I checked, St. Clair was like choice 3 at Tackle, Jeno James has been very dissapointing and they missed out on a ton of other OL that have already made an impact on their new teams. Rick might be a good talent evaluator for the draft, being able to find those late round talents but personally I believe he really screwed the pooch when it came to free agency.

Why don't you give us a list of the "ton of other OL that have already made an impact on their new teams" ?

I'm extremely interested in this list.

yards after the catch

I don't recall seeing many yards after the catch in the last 4 years. I saw that 3 times sunday. AJ got the ball to the reciever in stride with a step on the defender. Isn't this what made san fran and the WCO such a power with Montana and Rice. Give AJ and his recievers time to get on the same page and maybe we have have the chance for something good.

You really think Speilman should take the hit for this? Fact is, we had a horrible O-Line at the end of last season and Rick has done a "good job" of getting what was out there (IMO).

I actually think the GM has "treaded water" for his first year (what a year?!?!) and he might be a GEM. I dont feel the same about wanny.....
Just wondering...did the Dolphins make a pitch for Pete Kendall when he was let go by the Cardinals ?

AJ simply made a lot of bad throws. Yes he had a lot of pressure but he threw 8 picks (it just so happened 2 were caught). He has really bad mechanics too. It's like he tries to be Bret Farve and throws while his entire body is backwards. He also forces passes when he shouldn't. He has not once impressed me in pre-season, and I doubt he will this year as well.

Randy McMichael and Chris Chambers saved his *** last sunday. Without those huge YAC, Feely has under 100 yards easy. Not to mention the INT turned TD when the CB popped the ball up and Chambers was in the right place at the right time.
