Sometimes the easiest way to figure out scenarios without a flow chart, is an IF and THEN chart. I added and "AND" column in this case. I threw the various info from the Palm Beach Post into the chart, so see how it shakes out. After we beat Buffalo on Sunday, if both the Bengals and Raven lose, we're in like Flynn, and the Jets game won't matter. If things don't go according to plan, and it looks like we can't pull out the Buffalo game...then we can still sneak in the playoffs with a wildcard spot if the Ravens run the table (or win no games). Note: Added scenario for Chargers below.

The chart is mostly best to worst case scenario:

you need to include the chargers in these scenarios, they could play a big factor. if dolphins, ravens and chargers all finish 9-7 miami wins the tiebreaker.

so for example in your last scenario you have dolphins losing 1 of their last 2 and if bengals and ravens win sunday miami is eliminated. not true. if san diego wins sunday miami would not be eliminated even if miami loses and cincy and baltimore win.

Chargers are the projected 8th seed right now. You're right though...if they all end up 9-7 that may matter. The thing with Ravens and Bengals, they're in the same division and go head to head in the finale, with the loser taking a wildcard spot. I've got to look at it again, and I'll see if I can add Chargers to the chart.

i want indy...cinci in their building with that talented team would be quite the chore...either way it's gonna be hard but the red rocket plays better at home even if i think he could easily give us the game

if we got our pick i would want indy...bring it andrew luck

some terrific afc wildcard weekend matchups if it's kc cinc mia indy...i do not want to go to baltimore if they win the division...DO NOT

Chargers play a huge role. I see them being 9-7 after beating Oak and beating a KC team who most likely will sit their players

If we beat the Bills on Sunday, we can make the playoffs if the Ravens lose to the Patriots and the Bengals lose to the Vikings....week 17 wouldn't matter.

My pref would be:
1) Indy
2) Balt
3) Cincy

I find it interesting that you think that. If I had my pick of any team for us to play it would be the Ravens. Their offense can be shut down pretty easily imo.

that's a tough place to win...that d would give our run game fits and they got pitta back at tight end and torrey smith would work vertical on pa...and flacco you just never know...i don't want baltimore...i will take my chances with indy or cinci before i want to go there

I can see wanting Indy, but Cincy if I'm not mistaken has not lost a home game all year. I'll pass on that.

There's also still a scenario that we can get a first-round bye. Just will need:

Week 16
—Miami win at Buffalo
—Minnesota win at Cincinnati
—Baltimore win vs New England
—Kansas City win at Indianapolis

Week 17
—Miami win vs NY Jets
—New England loss vs Buffalo

Wishful thinking, I know, but it could happen.

it's 99 percent i don't believe in andy dalton

Me neither. No matter what Cinci. NE and the Ravens would all be extremely tough at home. I believe some what it "match ups" and we seem to match up better against teams like Cincy and Indy...not so much against the Ravens.
