Many people on this board have a dislike for Dawn Aponte. I know it would be hard to admit it, but does some of it come from here being a female. If she was a male, would the attitude change?

I don't like the tattletale story. I mean, who wants to work with someone like that?

Gender makes no difference. I have no idea if she would be good or bad....I don't know enough about her. But if she is qualified and the best candidate for the job....we should go with her.

What don't you understand. She's not a TALENT EVALUATOR.

Stop trying to make this into bull****.

Of course there's going to be some of that, half the fans here are middle-aged white men from small town America *awaits dozens of dislikes*

But there are very valid reasons to be opposed to the move. It seems she's an awesome "capologist" and while that's very important, talent evaluation is the most crucial aspect to building a championship team in the NFL. There are many legitimate questions to be asked regarding her expertise in that area.

Absolutely. Just look at some of the sexist comments about her on this board. Believe me, I am not politically correct at all, but I believe she is attacked on this board all the time with sexist remarks. No one outside of the organization knows what kind of person she is, but on here she is called a "bitch" who is trying to take over the organization and player personnel. Reporters who are familiar with the organization say that she is highly thought of around the league and that she has no intentions of taking over player personnel and is not even being considered for such a position, but it falls on deaf ears with some posters on this site. That leads me to believe that they have prejudices against her. I don't think she is qualified to take over player personnel for this organization, but it has nothing to do with what sex she is. She is not qualified for that position because she has no experience with that side of football operations. She deals with contracts and salary cap issues, and from what I understand, she is damn good at it.

I think its because she is an attorney and has no business on the talent side of football.

Honestly. I dont trust or want a woman GM. If she was HOKO (Head of Kitchen Operations) I would not mind.
