Arizona has given a new birth to new hope. The Cardinals are a team that finished 9-7 and had absolutely no momentum going into the playoffs. Yet, what do they do but win all three of their playoff games and end up in the super bowl.

It just goes to show us that the NFL is very unpredictable and any team can get to the big game. Miami has just as good a chance as anyone to get there. The biggest first step is getting in the playoffs and anything can happen after that.

Sparano got us there this year. I think we have good things to look forward to. As for me, I will be pulling for Arizona.

i agree. i truely hate the steelers because of my friends (alot of steelers fans). i hate seeing a NFC team win the superbowl but i hate seeing the steelers win the superbowl even more.

Cause Arizona is in a weak conference. It's much easier for a team to rise to the Top in the NFC than it is in the AFC. NE, Pitts, Bal, Indy, Jags are just a few of the teams in the AFC that normaly control the AFC, they might have a down season from time to time but they bounce back quickly and if anyone from the AFC wants to reach the SB you're more then likely going to face a 12 win team twice before getting to the SB while in the NFC, you're playing 8-8 and 9-7 teams before you reach the SB. Big big difference.

The cards momentum had a large part to do with how fast they clinched their division. They had the division clinched early and little to no hope of changing their homefield playoff situation. They had homefield as long as they could avoid Carolina. They coasted the last half of the season resting their players and that is what is showing now. We saw first hand what they can do when their on their game.

PLAYMAKERS ON OFFENSE!!!! Thats the difference between Arizona and Miami. Would u rather have Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin or Ted Ginn and Greg Camarillo? Answer is pretty clear to me!

Exactly, both of our defenses are comparable, but our offenses are drastically different. They have 3 receivers (possible 4) better than our best. That's why they made the superbowl and why we'll be watching from home.

To take the next step, have 2 choices: seriously upgrade the receivers, or seriously upgrade the pass rush.

The Cards started running the ball too, which has paid off! The Cards consistently brought pressure against McNabb, which we need to do. As stated above, the receivers are a huge sepertation. I mean how many throws has Warner made that he just heaves it, knowing his receivers will most likely catch it or prevent an int. The few times Chad did that, it didn't turn out well because we aren't physical at that position.

While it may seem like sacrilege, I'd also include Warner vs Pennington in that rhetorical question.

How about if the fact that we are closer to doing what Pitts is doing. Our defense is good but needs tweaking in the pass rush, our run game will be better then theirs and our young WR's are pretty comparable to Pitts WR's. Ward is by far the best but Holmes and Tweed are okay to decent, I wouldn't trade Ginn, Bess or Cam for either one. Once we know that Henne can lead us I think we will be molded in the same cast as Pitts.

That crap wouldn't fly in the AFC...they would not have even made the playoffs in this conference. DEFENSE wins championships. PERIOD.

funny thing is i remember a while back people posted "what about Warner to MIA?" threads and people CRUCIFIED them

just funny how **** works out

Silly to say they wouldn't make the playoffs in the AFC. They would be in the AFC West.....and would have done the same thing to those crappy teams. Probably a better record in the AFC west than the NFC West.

ya but they would have faced in the afc the first round for example a baltimore or indy team rather then an atl team , then would have had to go to pitt rather then carolina. i think they have no shot vs pittsburgh as that defense is just way to good. i guess the best comparison that can be made is in 2003 superbowl, the bucs had the best defense and the raiders had the best offense, and the bucs destroyed the raiders. i dont think the steelers will destroy the cards as thats not there nature but i can see pitt winning like 24-10.

exactly right and i am glad someone can see that difference. we need a real go getter on offense because Ronnie and Ricky were not getting it done against the Ravens becaus our passing game still sucks .
