Will the Vikings actually consider moving Daunte - I know his year has been AWEFUL - trust me, i drafted him in the first round.
But put him back with Linehan and R & R, i think he might be a pro bowler again..
what do you think

johnson will be a nice fill-in in daunte's absence, but he's not the future of the franchise. If Minny was to move Culppy, they'd definitely be putting their eyes on Leinart . I definitely would love Culpepper in Miami, but I dont see it happening because the Vikings are going to be in the run for Reggie Bush. Their running game is flat out atrocious and basically non-existant. With Culpepper, Williamson developing, and the "Robinson" Combo... the addition of Bush would make a force to be reckoned with. That would be a ridiculous offense. But as I've said in other posts on this topic, if we can get our hands on Daunte... we better pull the trigger. And yes Ricky, a 1st or 2nd rounder, etc. are all worth Daunte's presence as a franchise QB.

Brad is close to 40 yrs old. Stop it already.

Who's stupid enough to believe that the Vikings would get rid of their $100 million QB? The Vikings would never trade away Culpepper, he is their franchise player...they want to build a team around him. they stack up on defense and they drafted troy williamson for a reason. their o-line has been the problem and they have no running game, do you think the vikings would trade a top 5 QB in the NFL away for peanuts? WHat the hell do WE have 2 offer them? Trading Culpepper would b a good reason 2 move the team to LA becuz all their fans would dump minny once Pepp is gone. Brad Johnson is like 50 years old, trading Culpepper would mean drafting another QB...which would b a step back in the organization, and even though their front office is not so itelligent...theyre professionals and know more than us. We're not playing Madden 2006 here...lol put the controls down it's really not that easy.

Forget Culpepper...he's out for the rest of this season and at least half of next season...he's not going to be a help for anyone.

His name is not Culpepper it's fumblepepper, and I dont want him anywhere near south florida except for vacationing.

Didnt they just extend Culpepper's contract this offseason? I just dont see them taking the cap hit. Tice gets the blame for this season, not Culpepper. Culpepper will stay and Tice will be shipped out.

Agreed. I am a Vikings season ticket holder and if they got rid of Daunte the would lose a helluva lot of money. Why would you trade Moss and then Culpepper after consecutive seasons?? You wouldn't. Culpepper isn't going anywhere, so people should stop dreaming and worry about who WE are going to get at QB NEXT year.

He'll be back for the start of next season. Culpepper is a big guy who can recover quicker than the average NFL player.

I think Frerotte should go play for the Vikings! Heck I would even pay for his plane ticket!

They say it takes 1 year to recover.
Plus the fact that he is so big hurts him more!

He'll be lucky to come back at all. He tore 3 different ligaments in his knee. Knee injuries are hard enough to overcome for any quarterback, let alone a 270lb QB with 3 ligaments damaged.
