on the Dolphins can cover Moss and Stallworth or Welker. I love our defense but I am very worried that we will get burned by the Pats talented WR's because our corner backs are at best average. What are your thoughts. Remember I said IF Brady does not get sacked.:ninja:

Pray he gets sacked. I'm tempted to put money down now on the Pats to win the 2008 Superbowl.

Stallworth wont make it half way though the season without getting hurt, welker is good, but not uncoverable. For Moss using that logic the Raiders should have just heaved up the ball to him everytime because nobody can cover him. Look they got some names in their recieving core but they dont have numbers. I think these are some of the biggest mistakes I've seen the Pats make in a long time. They overspent for names and not talent unlike them.

Dont get me wrong though I think Moss is a good reciever, not uncoverable though. At least not anymore. Brady will make him better, but we'll have to see. The pats didn't stick with their plan that has worked for so long and I think/hope it backfires in their face.

Sorry Patsie Fans :(

We will need Bell to put a big hit on Moss at the beginning of the game. Make him not want to be there. Will Allen is very fast if nothing else.

It will definately be a lot more risky this year to Blitz Brady heavy.

Welker is a glorified 3rd wideout, he may play well against us because we're his former team, but otherwise, not worried about him. I was never worried about Stallworth, good, but not great.

Moss will get his catches. The key to beating Brady is not his WR's, it's pressuring him.

Travis Daniels is coming back this year and he'll be 100%. All of last season he played injured. His rookie self will hopefully comeback; he's definately a solid bump and run corner.

We were essentially building our secondary by bettering our pass rush. That's the best way to stop a passing game is to make sure passes don't get down the field. The Patriots ignored their offensive line in the off-season so they will still struggle to protect them. Besides, the Patriots are getting out of their element by buying free agents any how, not to mention players who are oft-injured, character problems, and on the decline. I thought the plan was drafting players and plugging them into the system.

It will all start at the line by disguising our coverages and where the blitz is coming from, our corners will have to knock the receivers off of there timing, and yes our safties will have to lay wood as well to take away the middle.

Welker is the only one im worried about honestly. He has a knak for 3rd down catches and short yardage plays.. finds holes in the d.. and holds onto the football if it comes close to him. THe pats passing game as always been those short mid range routes that he excells in.

I dont plan on seeing us allow Brady alot of time passing however... and I expect a few ints from Porter in that range.

All one can do is hope Stallworth headlines the injured list again, Welker shows that his last couple of years were flukes, and Moss repeats his last year's performance. Because on paper anyways, the Pats WR crew outruns, outmuscles, and outplays our secondary. And that's just Moss at 70%. We have 0 shutdown corners and you will need one if Moss heats up.

If he catches let him know that we will be there all game, so make sure the catches are worth it.:D

1) Stallworth is a walking bandaid

2) Welker is nothing better than a #3 WR

3) Moss hasn't produced in a few years, and a knock on his has always been his route running and desire.

Until they prove they can hurt us I'm not worried in the least.

Don't get fooled about Welker working with Brady. I think Welker will do well there, and become a favorite receiver of Brady especially when he gets into trouble.

I agree. He reminds me a lot of Chrebet who always managed to give us trouble b/c our linebackers weren't and aren't that good in coverage.
