............would the fact that the Dolphins play the Packers next year make them a more attractive candidate or a less attractive one?

I don't think it really matters for Favre. If he was to join the Dolphins before the schedules are released, I'm pretty sure it would be a prime time game.

God I hope not, I want him to retire or go somewhere else. I respect what he's done in the NFL, but I don't want him here.

it would definitely be a sunday/monday night game. but they're playing IN miami, so i don't think that would affect his decision. but there are several other options to chose from as well. however, new orleans does play AT green bay next year, and we all know favre's connections to the area.

If he doesn't retire, I don't see him going anywhere else. Hell they got a street named after him in GB. He'll retire a packer. Like what he did over his career, but he wouldnt help us. Last thing we need to do is bring in yet another old QB, to watch him for one year, then retire, and then were all right back here next year trying to find a QB again. we need a young QB to groom for the future. GO FINS!!!!
ps, I wish every game we played was a prime time game!!!!

sometimes as fans I think we can read way to much into the minor things.

think of it like you were favre and the answer becomes pretty clear.

If he decides to continue his career it won't be with the fudge packers. He will want to go to a team that A) needs him more than he needs them and B) has a real shot at contending for a title with hem leading the way.

Miami is the very very obvious choice do to coaching, surrounding cast, and the division we are in is falling apart at the seems so, playoffs should be certain and if we remain healthy with a few additions SB is a posability. Can't off the top of my head think of another team on a good qb away from the SB.

I doubt he will be anywhere other than GB or retired, but if he were to be released from GB and he makes the decision to play more, I want him in Aqua and Orange.

I would take a banged up, broken fingered Frerotte over Favre any days of the week.

Favre is done !!!!

He may not be the Favre of old, but he's not done. Remember 2 years ago when he had all his weapons at RB and WR and very good pass prot Oline, he had a very good year. He just can't carry a team like he used to.

Brett's was a great player, but his prime has passed him, would he be an upgrade from Gus? Yeah, but would he stay long? No. Besides I think the Packer fans deserve for him to retire in GB.

Im not a packer fan but I still think it would be best for Brett to retire a packer.

He is to GB what Marino was to us. Imagine if Marino left us to play for KC.

o for crying out loud...favre is retireing...he is done. trust me people up here in wisconsin all know it and it shows. so please stop all the favre to miami threads cause it isnt going to happen. mark my words.

I'd rather have Marino come out of retirement for one year. He already showed at the HOF induction ceremony that he still had it.... Marino to Clayton deep is connected one more time!!!

Look, I respect your opinion........BUT........ this isn't a thread about whether or not we should seek out a player like Favre........ It's a thread about whether or not the Dolphins playing the Packers in the 2006 season would force his hand on where he'd play if he were to continue. I know some of you want to jump down everybody's throats because somebody like Favre doesn't fit your agendas, but learn to bend a little in what you talk about on here.

........no, mark my words: LEARN TO READ. This isn't a thread debating whether or not we should go after Favre. I merely posed a question of whether or not this organization would appear viable to him not only because we'll be competitive, but because we play his beloved Packers. That's why I started the thread out with "IF" ......... Amazingly, you seem to have missed the boat on that one.
