if brown to maimi whats next for satale

he can pour my Frosty for me that i am boust to get!!!

I say let him and Brown battle to see who gets the center position and move the other to guard. I would not get rid of Satale if he was injured all of last and still playing you gotta like that from a player. Hes young and could still become what we expected from him after his first season.

For me, it would depend on what we could get for him in a trade. If it's worth it, I say trade him. If not, I say keep him.

someone was talking a few days ago about fullback. but i think that could be expanded to a slash position. tightend/fullback/backup offensive line. when we do wildcat he could be on strong side in open space and such.

I'd like to entertain offers for him, but if we don't get a good enough offer, then I'd keep him around for O-line depth, something we sorely need.

I'd say move him to RG and have him compete with Thomas for a starting spot.

LT: Long
LG: Smiley
C: Brown
RG: Satele/Thomas
RT: Carey

What a line. My gosh.

That's the right way to go. Have to keep him because you can never have too many quality linemen. Injuries are far too common to get rid of someone because they might not be quite good enough to start.

we would keep him for now.. but i expect we would hear more about it around training camp when they need to cut down the roster

We trade Samson and John Beck for a 1st day pick and sign Pete Kendall on the cheap and draft Pat White in the 3rd.

If Brown comes, he will be the center. If he's going to have to compete for the job, it makes no sense to bring him in at the price that he's going to command. He would represent an immediate upgrade at C. Satele would then have to compete at G for a spot in the starting lineup, if he can't cut it he'll make excellent depth. I like the guy, and I don't want to see him gone entirely - but we need to improve at his position.

Although I would love to get Brown, I just don't see us overpaying for him (which it's begining to look like is going to happen). But if by some fluke we did get him, we'd keep Satale and probably have him as a C/G for depth, as the guys we want to start at G have some health issues. Depth is always good to have in a 16 game season.
