Hate? Gus is showing himself to be on par with all the other crappy QBs we have had in the new millenium.. Griese has shown that he can be at least serviceable, if not better, given the proper system..

Gus is Fiedler Lite right now...

Id think he would be one of the better available vet QBs next year if Simms excells and TB lets him go..

Then we could draft a QB, and let him sit a year while Griese, hopefully keeps us in some games..

If it is a torn ACL, what would be the benefit in picking him up? We'd have to worry about how he comes out of the injury etc. I see your point in saying we need a better QB, but Griese, especially after the injury, is not the man.

I just thought he would be easiest to get while being an improvement over what we have now.. thats all. Id take a well-trained Metro Zoo chimp at QB right about now..

Skape, while I agree with you that Gus isn't the QB the Dolphins need now or in the future....Griese isn't any better....especially with the O-line the Dolphins have. Right now it looks like the only college QB that could make it with the team as it is right now is V. Young....if he comes out early...that is. At least he can run and weighs as much as some linebackers.
