Jimmy Wilson may be back but at best he should be splitting time (reduced time)... Thomas is a better tackler and more upside... in fact other then Wilson's versatility i would place him behind Taylor as well.

The coaches have done the right things in my opinion with:

Wheeler hitting the pine more and more and more - Wish he was only used for situational rushes - McCain, an extra DB and now Jordan are better options ( we miss ellerbe playing his right position this year would have been nice)

Pouncy at guard --- discussed to death, agree its the right move for the o-line...Smith doesn't pass protect

Landry earned his spot in the slot - although I like Gibson, believe hes a valuable trade chip or at least gibby should be used in 4 5 WR sets

...... hopefully were looking at a kicker if sturgis and fields cant start putting it all together soon - more faith in fields!

Its coulda, woulda shoulda now but I wish they would have put Tripp on the RB and Jenkins on the TE on that fateful last second Green Bay play. The problem is Philbin believes you earn playing time on the practice field so theoretically Wheeler earned the right to be out there. What sucks is it sounds like Wheeler didn't want to be out there in that situation.

Gibson was smoking hot last year before he got injured.

He was really coming on.

Gibson was, last year before he was injured, more polished then Landry is right now - but Landry has more raw energy and has no ceiling.

With this offense - many short passes and intermediate passes - I'd like to see the team attempt to get Gibson hot.

Let Gibson get touches. Also he was our only reliable redzone threat.

And while I'm on a rant - lets get Sims involved more. Get that guy the ball - he's a freakin 90 ton tank with some real athletic ability.

At least wheeler knows his limitations. Unfortunately the coaching staff thinks they're smarter than he is when it comes to what he can do.

Yea Wilson is a weak link. He was picked on by Rodgers. As was Wheeler. I think McCain should play full time over Wheeler. Play Wheeler only when someone needs rest

I was looking at the scoring stats. 10th offensively but 15th defensively. I know we are 4th yardage wise but scoring is the most important category our defense is better then that

Hardline should be a healthy scratch not Gibson.

I will have to agree. I even saw M. Thomas covering Marshall on a few plays

Thomas is my Fav non starter on the team. Would love to see him crack the lineup.

I have to agree. Thomas is hungry and out to prove himself. He goes all out on ST too, he makes a lot of tackles. My favoirte non-starter is McCain, but Thomas is a close second.

I agree the coaches have taken the right approach to their personnel. Benching Wheeler, Poncey at RG, Landry over Gibson, etc. Its almost like they have been reading Finheaven.

I believe we are seeing more this thinking this year than last year where rookies sat and veterans got the nod. Hopefully Philbin is changing his thinking about this but my opinion is that his coordinators are taking over this decision making process. Interesting subject as Dallas Thomas is basically one of the top reserves coming off the bench on the offensive line and you have to wonder what Benton is thinking as the offensive line coach. Maybe Dallas Thomas shows more in practice than we are seeing or his versatility to play OT or guard is giving him the nod because most fans certainly do not feel good about Dallas in the OL lineup.

Isn't it possible that the rookies are simply better this year?
