Can Joey harrington carry this team, and still bring us to the playoffs? Or do you think we are doomed without Pep?

I still have a ? over harringtons name, and the reports from minicamp arn't making me feel any more comfortable about the situation

so if pep reinjures or gets a new injury, can Harrington carry the load?

Whenever a guy changes team, I give that player a chance because we have seen it many of times where a player can do better with a new team. But with that I think that Harrington would do a "blah" job if he has to start alot of games for us this season.

Agreed. Not to mention if we could send Chambers to the Pro Bowl and win 9 games with Sage and Gus last year......Won't we automatically be better with Joey? I'd sure as heck say so!

We have the best starting QB/backup QB situation we've had in years. 2 starters, no worries from me.

I agree with Trekbiz. We finally have a good 1-2 punch at quarterback. Hopefully CP doesn't go down, however, Harrington does provide a good option for backup. Time will tell how well CP comes back from injury (totally) and how Harrington performs. The ball is in their court and have a chance with a good team.

1st, IF Culpepper is injured again, Joey will have to get it done or he won't see the field again this year. 2nd, do you actually think this way or are you just starting another thread on an oft beaten to death subject?

maybe you should share with us these "reports" that give you concern...I don't remember anything bad from minicamp about Joey

NO!!

and we could be "doomed" even with pep. there are
no guarentees with him right now, he is coming off a
major slump.

BALLS: why would you say that? gus has had a much better
career than joey!

Harrington will either be great and lead us to the promissed land, has the talent, or he will suck and then we'll know it wasn't all Detroit's fault he sucked for them. Hope its the former, not the latter. Actually hope DC is fine, starts every game, and we don't have to find out!

In Saban We Trust!

Slump? They pulled his OC and #1 WR. His o-line crumbled and their pass catcher was suspended.

I think he is too. Saban cleared out the "Wanny QBs" and brought in all his own. That makes me think that Cleo is better than any garbage the stashe ever brought to Miami.
