If Daniel Thomas Makes this team.....

Knowshon played the Patriots twice last season, just like Daniel Thomas. And he had higher stakes on the line for one of them. The Broncos managed to win the game that mattered without to many problems.

Roster spots are valuable, keeping a bad player just so he can do a single part of his job(a part he doesnt do well anyways) isnt a good idea. Especially when we have someone already on the roster who can do that single relatively unimportant job better.

Daniel Thomas should not collect another dime from this team, hes already been well paid for doing a bad job as it is. Just like the vast majority of the decisions he made during his tenure, Jeff Ireland screwed up. Daniel Thomas is a bust.

yeah, w/ peyton manning at the helm and his probowlers. big difference. our OLine sucked so obviously, they are not worried so much this go round.

The Daniel Thomas hate is at record high levels LOL. I can't imagine why anyone would be so excited about getting rid of a 3rd string RB. It's almost completely irrelevant to whether or not the team wins...

Thomas epitomizes the Jeff Ireland failure of an experiment. Moved up into the 2nd round to draft the most replaceable position in sports, and the player he reached for ended up being about as successfull as you would expect from an Ireland pick.

He was a 3rd string rb, but considering the investment we made in him, he should have been our starting feature back for years

And, just for good measure, passed on a good(or great depending on your opinion of him) running back in DeMarco Murray so we could draft Thomas. Not to mention passing on borderline elite players like Justin Houston, Randall Cobb, Julius Thomas, and Jordan Cameron.

And to this day some on this forum feel Ireland wasn't that bad and should have been given more time. Incredible really.

Ryan Mallett was sitting right there too and we were in need of a QB.

omg, the experts just come out hindsight 20-20 like its nothing.

jeff Ireland should rot in hell. we got this 2 years ago, guess it continue for another two.

Combined with the six draft picks on the roster, the Dolphins have 11 rookies on the team. Either this team that was not old to begin with just got a great infusion of youth ... Or, again, the talent level that was here previously simply was not as high as we might be inclined to believe.

I can't get over this quote by Armando Salguero. How will this team compete against some other veterans late in the season with 11 rookies?

The price the team has had to pay for keeping Ireland for too long. Hickey is still and will be cleaning up his mess well into next year.

It will take years to clean up the Ireland mess. He was really that bad at his job. Of course, it will also take years for the Ireland fanboys to admit that they were wrong.

Hindsight my @$$. Draftnics around here put their names on players they feel will succeed starting from the end of the season until after the draft. Many have been quick to question Ireland picks immediately after the selections were made....and what do you know, Ireland failed more often than not. I can think of several posters around here that would've managed this team infinitely better than Bill Parcells' "prodigy"

Not exactly hindsight if we talked about it 2 years ago.
