I was thinking we could go 4-3...
Holliday, Soliai, Langford, Merling
Porter, Crowder, Roth

I'd like to get Merling on the field... if we have to go 4-3 to do it then fine. Any thoughts?
 
we cant just switch the whole scheme because one player goes out.
Soliai just has to step up.
and the Lb's have to stop jumpin in the wrong gaps
 
We play a fair deal of 4-man fronts as is. I think we may just see them more than usual......
 
I think they will rotate between Soliai and "Iron Man" Starks.
 
LOL 4-3 . . . and u have Roth as a LB still LOL. Nah bruh, u either have to bench Roth or consistently rotate the DLine . . . even putting in guys like Rod Wright in the mix as the 4-3 is a much better fit for him IMO. Roth is NOT a LB in the 4-3, don't even dream it. JP, Crowder . . . and either Ayodele, Torbor or Anderson will be the LB's.

DE - Holiday/Moses
DT - Langford/Rod Wright
NT - Solai/Starks/Dotson
DE - Merling/Roth

(U will see some Solai and Starks combos on the field as well, maybe push Langford at DE some . . . alot of combos)

OLB - Joey Porter
ILB - Channing Crowder/Akin Ayodele
OLB - Charlie Anderson/Reggie Torbor
 
I'm pretty sure they have Starks practicing more at NT.

In the Ravens game he was thrown in there without practicing as NT. Yes, he is undersized, but he will be splitting time with Soliai.
 
The more Solai is on the field th more we will suffer.

Yep, there is a HUGE drop-off if Fergusen is not in there.

The Bills will run right at us.

Does anyone know why Solai was suspended for that game?

If we were to do that, i think it'd be better to go Langford, Holliday, Solia, Merling. Holliday has experience at NT where Langford has been playing end all year.. And Langford would have Porter to help when the weak side goes to Langford.
 
Like someone said earlier, the dolphins are not going to change their scheme because a player goes out. The backups will have to step up. The only reason to change a scheme as important as going from a 3-4 to a 4-3 is to make a team better as the coaches would see the 3-4 ain't working. But it is. It is a good scheme but the defense has play better, especially in the secondary.
 
Starks played well at NT until he got tired. He said himself this week he had a hard time going 10 plays in a row...If Soliai is back, and they can rotate Soliai and Starks...We will be just fine.

Also, last week Starks played NT without having ever had any practice at it. Now he has...he will play better.

I believe the real problem was that Soliai wasn't there last week...we will be fine this week.

They just can't give up the 3-4 with one player hurt...this system is going to be in existance until Bill Parcells is no longer the executive vp of football operations.

i think he was suspended for sucking as a draft pick.
