Give Sage his shot. Why not.

If Fiedler's play against Tenn. merited a benching then so did Feeley's play against Cincy.

Did you see sage vs the 3rd string bucs D in the pre season?... yeah, lets not.

Jay is jay!If you want to be fair then give AJ 4yrs to look this bad. :shakeno:
We need a better line for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :fire:

it was not AJ's fault, AJ played well when he accually had some time to throw the ball, the O-LINE made AJ look like him and Lamar gordon were playing bad, but the thing is that the OLINE was absoulutely horrendous last night, they did not know how to block, i say if we end up trading Jay fiedler, get an offensive lineman in return. and, i liked tim ruddy and jaimi nails..that OLINE was the one who helped ricky get his rushing title in 2002. We need to somehow bring those guys back. if we dont, well, AJ is gunna take a beating.

We simply cant go back and forth on QB's. The pick where Chambers zigged and Feeley zagged was a result of them not playing together enough.

If Wanny put Jay back in, he would be run out of town faster.

No, this was AJ's fault. Not entirely; there's plenty of blame to go around, but he deserves his fair share of blame for this loss. However, he should stay in the lineup (and he will; Wanny announced he'll start next week) if only because the offense needs at least some semblance of continuity right now. Also, it's looking more and more like this team isn't going far this year, so we might as well see what we've got with him.

Although I was messing around and started the bring in Sage thread, the simple fact is this is a very bad offensive team. You have too many new faces, and we are not going to win many games this year. That being said, Fieldler does us no good. We should take our lumps and see what we paid a second round choice for.

No way you can clear AJ of blame. He made a ton of poor decisions. IMO we need to stick with him and see what he can do. But if the Cincy D could catch, he would have had 5 or 6 picks last night. Even the TD pass had a chance to be picked.

I'm sorry, but A.J. is not the answer to this team right now. He isn't mobile like Fiedler. Jay should be starting. Period. We are not a good team, but we have a better shot of winning the close ones with him. We would had a better shot of winning against the Bengals than A.J. that man has tossed 4 TD passes, but 2 to the wrong team. Just cause Jay has a bad half, he sits for the year. I call bull**** and Dave should be fired at the end of the year. I know we are going to go through a ****ty season, but if we are going to go down, lets go down witht the guy we have had the past 4 years. Shame on you Dave for making that change at QB. I'm going to end this response with something that was said years ago when Joe Robbie was still alive. When we had the man at the helm, he said, " the one thing that im afraid we are going to do, is waste Dan Marino talent here". Well guess what, we are wasting away the talent of Chris Chambers now. Spend some ****ing money and get a QB in the offseason that can throw 65 yards down the field, if not, draft one. I'm ready for this ****ty season, are you?

Let's go over this again:

THIS IS A TERRIBLE ARGUMENT. IF YOU APPLY THIS LOGIC, JAY DESERVES 13 MORE YEARS TO SEE IF WE CAN COMPARE HIM TO MARINO

I don't think any of us want that.

AJ needs to keep playing because it's clear we have no running game, so the guy with the strong arm is the better call. Beyond that, we need to avoid making another change and hurting the chances of this O to get on the same page. If this team had Ricky and last year's line (sad as it was), I'd be all over playing Jay. You guys would have hated me over the past week for all my complaining. That just isn't the circumstance we find ourselves in now, though.

Once again...NO QB would have looked good behind this line. Not Jay, not Feeley and not Sage. You can't win games if you're pressured on every play. You can't win games when your RB gets gang tackled behind the line the second he touches the ball. You can't win games when your LT is playing WORSE than he did his rookie season. Feeley should be held accountable...he made some stupid mistakes, but he has shown in the past with the Eagles and during preseason that he can be effective when the o-line blocks for him. same thing with Gordon. It all starts up front and as of right now...it's a disaster.

I dont think either QB wouldve been effective behind that line
exactly. Manning, Brady, McNair, Favre, and McNabb couldnt do squat behind our Oline. Only QB who could play here would be Vick because he can move.
