IF FLYNN WAS ANY GOOD HE WOULD HAVE BEEN SIGNED BY SOMEONE ALREADY. This guy has had less action in Free Agency than most players out there. Whether we were waiting for Manning or not, i would think if he had the skills.. some other team would have swooped him up... guess the overall feel in the NFL is what alot of Dolphin fans fear which is an average to above average qb as his ceiling.
Tired of hearing all the blind homer fans giving excuse after excuse for all these qb's since Marino. 17 qb's have come around and everytime there is a new one everyone thinks this is the one. A 7th Rd draft pick with no experience and suspect arm according to those in the know is what you are hoping for. Should we give him a shot if he wants to come in the cheap, hell yeah just like i would like to give every other qb a shot out there. But don't come out saying that Flynn is the answer bla bla blah because this is a broken record SOS....
I prefer Matt Moore, if anything he earned another shot in my book. Draft Tanehill if you feel he is going to be an elite qb.

Ya that Peyton Manning sux too, no one signed him yet.

He could've already been signed by the Seahawks, but he said he wanted to visit the Dolphins first, because this is where he wants to go.

Really does anyone outside of the packer organization and Joe philbin truly know?? With his limited playing can anyone really know

...and some of you call Jets fans dumb.

If Peyton was signed already, Flynn would be getting more visits..period. Lets use this time to our advantage and see if Philbin is serious about signing Flynn for our quarterback.

They don't even know. It's all a crap shoot, even Manning is one. The plus for Manning is he has shown he can do it, and Flynn, if he goes to the Phins, is he is going to a system he should do well in.

But no one knows anything.

If you look around the league, most teams have their QB. Just go through each division. Tell me where a team needs a QB?

I'm on the fence with Flynn vs Moore with the verdict still out, but am for him if our HC wants him. So I'm not being a rationalizer with an ax to grind when responding that the guy who's starting to look like Bretta Favre is gumming up everyone else's works. You should see how upset they are over at Broncos Country that his diddling around is costing them shots at viable FAs.

Relatedly, Stanton, Henne, Orton etc are being quickly snapped up because of their perceived roles as backups. Few others aside from Manning and Flynn will be the presumptive starter with the corresponding compensation it implies. Maybe Jason Campbell too but he's a sloppy second right now. (Smith will too if The New Bretta eventually sets his sights on being a Bay Area homewrecker). In other words: this is circumstantial, not a reflection on Flynn.

Manning is the best QB in FA, had a dozen teams after him and took the oxygen out of the room for Flynn - all the better for Miami.

Despite the Manning-palooza, Seattle was ready to sign Flynn earlier this week, but apparently Flynn was waiting for his shot at Philbin and Miami - so much the better for Miami.

base on potential....everything thinking Tannehill is the answer...a wide receiver turned qb. would you draft this guy with our 8th pick.....who was projected by many experts to be no better then a 2nd rounder a few months ago. Honestly, i rather have Flynn who atleast has some experience and learned under Philbin and have watched Aaron Rogers for 4 years, instead of wasting our 1st round pick on Tannehill...just my opinion.

No I wouldnt. I would not spend an 8th. And I'd def. not trade up just because the Browns might get him, or Jax is baiting trade for him. Blackmon is a trade up player. Proven player. Playmaker from the start. If we trade up for Tannehill, our FO is shot out..

Well, that may be true...but there are other reasons that he hasn't signed...

a) He wanted to be here with Philbin and waited things out with the Manning situation.
b) Philbin wants him here, but because Mr. Loss and Irish had to court Manning first, he simply had to wait and Philbin asked him to wait it out.
c) Tannehill is likely not going to be there for us unless you are suggesting we trade up. Given the market costs for trading up, I think that is a bit out of our reach.
d) While he has a short resume, it is a very successful resume. Sure, he had a lot of talent around him and it was a well oiled machine to boot, but he still had to make the throws he made, make the reads he made to decide where to throw, played against two pretty decent teams (both playoff teams) but he did so very well, even if it was only a couple of starts. ]
e) I don't know how much or how closely you follow NFL football, but Philbin has been there with the guy for 4 yrs, day in and day out. He's a well respected coach and if he thinks that Flynn can do the job...I think most would defer to his expertise on the matter. Maybe you have some other experience or expertise in evaluating QBs that we're not aware of.
f) MMoore played very well for us last year. However, he didn't play in the system we're going to be running this season. He's not as accurate as you'd like a WCO QB to be. His arm strength is probably comparable to Flynn's though with a slight edge to MMoore. I've been watching MMoore for a couple years here in NC. I've seen MMoore fade in games, where I haven't seen that from Flynn...albeit there is less to go on, but if a young QB is going to fade out, you'd think against the quality teams he has played against, it would be more likely that he would.

I don't know that Flynn is the next Aaron Rodgers but I don't think that MMoore is either. If Philbin takes the chance on him, beings that he will be tied to Philbin's legacy as a HC in Miami, then I can't see where you and I can argue too much...
