If flynn was any good he would have been signed by someone already

No I wouldnt. I would not spend an 8th. And I'd def. not trade up just because the Browns might get him, or Jax is baiting trade for him. Blackmon is a trade up player. Proven player. Playmaker from the start. If we trade up for Tannehill, our FO is shot out..

I think if Tannehill drops to 41 he is ours but only if they decide they want a second Qb to groom and let Moore go next year.

Well, that may be true...but there are other reasons that he hasn't signed...

a) He wanted to be here with Philbin and waited things out with the Manning situation.
b) Philbin wants him here, but because Mr. Loss and Irish had to court Manning first, he simply had to wait and Philbin asked him to wait it out.
c) Tannehill is likely not going to be there for us unless you are suggesting we trade up. Given the market costs for trading up, I think that is a bit out of our reach.
d) While he has a short resume, it is a very successful resume. Sure, he had a lot of talent around him and it was a well oiled machine to boot, but he still had to make the throws he made, make the reads he made to decide where to throw, played against two pretty decent teams (both playoff teams) but he did so very well, even if it was only a couple of starts. ]
e) I don't know how much or how closely you follow NFL football, but Philbin has been there with the guy for 4 yrs, day in and day out. He's a well respected coach and if he thinks that Flynn can do the job...I think most would defer to his expertise on the matter. Maybe you have some other experience or expertise in evaluating QBs that we're not aware of.
f) MMoore played very well for us last year. However, he didn't play in the system we're going to be running this season. He's not as accurate as you'd like a WCO QB to be. His arm strength is probably comparable to Flynn's though with a slight edge to MMoore. I've been watching MMoore for a couple years here in NC. I've seen MMoore fade in games, where I haven't seen that from Flynn...albeit there is less to go on, but if a young QB is going to fade out, you'd think against the quality teams he has played against, it would be more likely that he would.

I don't know that Flynn is the next Aaron Rodgers but I don't think that MMoore is either. If Philbin takes the chance on him, beings that he will be tied to Philbin's legacy as a HC in Miami, then I can't see where you and I can argue too much...

All good points, thanks

He could've already been signed by the Seahawks, but he said he wanted to visit the Dolphins first, because this is where he wants to go.
Not offered contract by Seattle.. think they were just doing do diligence but not really interested... wondering why we are the only team really interested in this guy, but thats why we are the Dolphins... we hype up anyone

Do the seahawks even want him? they never offered him a contract...hmm I wonder why?

Kolb screwed it up for him. Kolb gets this huge contract with less than spectacular resume and is a bust the first year in Zona. It looks like we want him, and I feel the transition will obviously be easy for him, so hopefully he will lower his demands and we can get somewhat of a bargain.

I think is pretty simple. Peyton is an upgrade for teams that are really close to the Super Bowl, which is why so many teams got involved. Flynn is projected to be a solid starting QB tho no one knows for certain. Teams that NEED a QB upgrade desperately are involved. The colts and skins have their guys lined up in the draft. The dolphins and chawks do not (unless either can land Tannehill). Hence Flynn is their target. I don't think this speaks poorly to Flynn....it's simply the circumstance.

How about watch the Guy play and evaluate him to see if he's good instead of basing it off of other teams signing him or not. That will require you to think though.

Unless Tannehill breaks both of his legs in the next few weeks, theres 0% chance he makes it to pick 41

Clearly because they think he sucks.:rolleyes2: There GM drafted him and they brought him in for a visit. Up to that point there must have been interest but during their interview they decided he sucks. Is that what you're implying? Maybe Seattle new Flynn was going to visit Miami regardless and didn't want to start the bidding process

You're right, Matt Flynn is so much like Manning that Flynn needs to stop turning all those teams after him down

He doesn't have to turn them down. The entire NFL knew he was headed to Miami.

Im just wondering...If the seahawks dont want Flynn and we dont want Flynn, where does he go from there? Back to Green Bay for the vet minimum? Does Green Bay even want him back? lol

I'd probably go second round for him. Unless a have to have TE comes up. Man, that Jimmy Graham is nice!
