If Gase survives I think we have to do everything to get Kris Richard here for DC. He is also my current top pick for HC if Gase gets canned. Players love him and he coaches with intensity and enthusiasm. He was a huge part of the legion of boom in Seattle, and was the scape goat for Carrol last year. With all the injuries they were still 13th in the league, after being 1 the previous 2 years under him as DC. Not to mention what he has helped do in Dallas. I love Merinelli, but knowing since he has given Richard the ability to call plays their d has gone to the next level. I know we don't have a forcing unit like dallas, but I could only imagine what he would bring to the table, and how he would use our DB's. We have the guys to do what he did in seattle. Richards with X, Fitz, Jones man that would be crazy.

I know its wishful thinking that we will actually bring in a guy like this, but im not sold on any of the retreads at DC or HC at the moment.

Richard for DC, Carmichael for OC. As for HC, only someone like Bill Cowher may be able to light a fire on this team. What coach in the NFL has a Bill Cowher type personality? Someone disciplinary, but not egotistical like Gase.

see that's what I think we would get with Richard. I think if we get a CEO type HC then yea a guy like Cowher would be nice (but not happening).

Todd Bowles for sure.

Also, i wouldn't hesitate to ink Greg Schiano as my DC. I say that as an Ohio State fan. Dude knows how to coach.

He wants back in the NFL. His attitude might actually keep him from getting HC opportunities which is a good thing.

I'd be happy if either of those 2 qualified coaches were in complete control of my teams defense.

It may very well be someone different next year, but it won’t be a hot name by any means. Gase will be in a “prove it” season like Sparano was in 2011. The best they could do for an offensive coordinator that year was Brian Daboll who arguably had a worse track record than the guy he replaced (Dan Henning).
