If Hamlin gets the TAG......

The Cowboys have not used there Franchise tag yet. What do we do if they use it on Hamlin. I hope that they don't do that. If this happens I like to have FS-Dwight Smith from the Vikings (just got cut) come in and help the team. He is a good vetern player that will help a young team. He can hit like a ton of bricks. I've watched some video of him from last year and he is a very smart player and lays the smack down on the opposing team. He is a very physical player. That is just my 2 cents.

I doubt seriously getting Hamlin will make or break us for next season...There's no guarantee that even if they don't tag him (I think the time is up today on using the tag), that Tunaland will actually go after him...although, it's just as likely that they will...

I really hope you are not serious. Jason Allen finally seemed to click when moved back to Safety. He's been moved to CB / Safety multiple times and it hindered his progression as an NFL player. As far as I'm concerned, he IS one of our starting safeties (FS or SS).
 
If Hamlin is Franchised, we could look hard at Gibril Wilson, or for a cheaper player, Eugene Wilson. Dwight Smith is a possibility but not so hot on him.

And unlikely we move Allen back to CB. Lehan will be our nickel guy now and we will almost certainly get another CB in FA or the draft.
 
Hamlin just got tagged PFT reporting. Plan B anyone????
