Is that the End Of DC!!

Can we get trade bait or will he be worth nothing?

I see HArrington playing well Hes in a new home now and has something to prove?

Thoughts

That's a big if. But if he wins games for us and plays well, I see us holding onto him more than Culpepper. He's cheaper and younger plus he already has guys like McMike rooting for him (though McMike did that for Griese and thanks to Wade and Wanny, that never progressed). And if the rumors of the rift between Saban and Culpepper are true, Pep'll be on the next flight out the minute Harrington proves himself. But we won't get back anything more than a 4th rounder for Pep at this stage.

Sorry, but Culpepper is here to stay.

They aren't. The media doesn't like Saban, which makes them more willing than usual to stir the pot. If we keep losing, we're going to see the media try to manufacture a quarterback controversy.

I am rooting for Harrington to be our franchise QB here. He has the tools to be just that if the situation is right.

I hope he plays real well he'll be worth more to us that way! DC is still our franchise guy though:shakeno:

That's a big question. IS DC really a franchise QB? Minnesota obviously didn't think so.
For all his physical attributes he has always been missing some intangible.

I'm willing to ignore the fact that Culpepper was brought in to be the starter.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not against Duante but they both were brought in via trade this year and are both former starting quarterbacks. If Harrington plays well and looks much better than he did in Detroit he deserves to be the starter period.
If Culpepper were to regain his 2004 form then start him. Either way the team needs someone to step up and lead that offense to more victories than loses I don't care which one it is.

If Joey plays well and wins games then he deserves to finish out the season. But if DC gets healthy and shows he can play to his 2004 form, then he should be given the chance to compete and win the job next year. I would seriously test his ability to make the fast reads and get rid of the ball quickly if I were Saban.

Who knows, Joey might turn into a really good QB for us. If he does, then its a plus for the Fins.

I'll root for whoever is taking snaps. I want whoever is dropping back to be successful. It not unheard of to have a "franchise" guy supplanted due to injury...heck it happend back in St. Louis when they signed Trent Green..he banged up his knee and viola...Kurt Warner emerges.

Go Joey, Dante, or Cleo, but most important...GO DOLPHINS!!:dolphins:

Trading DC is way to premature. If Joey does play well, Saban will probably place DC on IR so he can get healthy and have an open competition next year.

Until DC regains his "pocket speed" he's somewhat useless as a starter.

Well, in the meantime, can we trade Mularky back to you guys? :D

We'll take a bag of rocks or pocket lint or whatever you have...

No thanks!!

Pocket lint all of a sudden doesn't seem so bad.
