Which I'm not :) This is what I'd really do.

1. Fire Mularky and promot Charlie Baggett to OC. No, this isn't because "Mularky is so bad let's kick him out". This is because Baggett know's Linehan's system, at this point in time the season is lost and Mularky is gone after the season anyway (or I sure hope so). This would do a couple of things...
A. Late Baggett adjust slowly. Implement the system, figure out how it works. No pressure, nothings coming of this season anyway.

B. It let us grade Baggett and see if he IS viable. I think he is, but a little extra learning never hurt anyone. If he completely cracks we go OC shopping this off season (same as now) if he doesn't he get his chance next year.

C. It lets the players adjust to the system. They'll have half a season with the new system. Instead of starting next year from scratch, they'll have a half a season under their belts (the ones that are left anyway)

D. It lets Saban judge the players. This brings up point number 2.

2. Guage EVERYONE. See what they've got, and PURGE the roster htis off season. We have 20 mil in cap space and need picks. Purge ANYONE who's not on the same page or over paid. That means if CC is not on the same page, trade him, If Thomas or Taylor are on the same page trade them (I HOPE it doesn't happen, but if your D leaders aren't on the coaches page we dont' stand a CHANCE of rebuilding this team).

3. Trade down and go BPA across the board. Pick up picks and go BPA BPA BPA. Don't target any positions, if youc an't trade down take BPA whether it's a WR or OT, if you trade down take BPA. We need playmakers EVERYWHERE and you don't get them by targeting positions. YOu get playmakers by targeting players.

4. Sit in for another rough 2 seasons. He deserves 4 total to start writing this ship, i'd say 6 if I didn't know no one here would allow it. We have a big hole to dig out of. Scratch time.

Actually - I would try to get as many picks in rds 1-4 as I could - the later ones are not making our roster. The last draft - we had 7 picks and only 3 made the final roster.

3 of those 7 picks were 7th rounders. 1 made the roster, that is pretty good in and of itself. One 7th rounder is on IR. One was cut. And Toledo is on IR, you can't count that as not making the roster.

I agree with most of your points. Any OC change needs to be made ASAP, allowing for a learning curve with the new system. I agree that everyone needs to be evaluated. ALL STARTING JOBS ARE FAIR GAME. If someone plays better than someone else in camp and in the preseason, THEY SHOULD WIN THE JOB. No one should be entitled a spot. As for the draft, if we continue down this path, we're getting at least 2 Top 35-ish picks Those will help.

I don't think this could take as long as you've projected to fix, though. I say, next year will probably be rocky, the year after could be the defining year. That's when everything should be coming together.

could 86 % of the dolphins problems be contributed to the oc and the other % be atributed to inept receiving corp?

if i were him ..

1.)i'd get Rbrown and let him make some plays via Play Action, Running, Recieving, or anything else possible .. who cares if he doesn't rush for 100 yards .. he CAN make plays .. Ex: PITT .. those screen passes where he just ate up the D with that extra push for the extra yard or two really kept the offense going .. get the "stars" the ball quicker and let them make plays instead of creating big plays that never have time to develop

2.) Put the younger guys in the games to see what they can really do .. Hagan, Allen, VICK .. yes i said it vick .. what does he have to lose .. He's got gadget plays written all over it .. he's quick, he practiced taking tosses from the older vick as a kid and he needs a FRESH START .. he's got everything to fight for and nothing to lose unlike the rest of these overpaid bums blaming their shortcomings on everyone else .. and looking to escape the shadow of his brother .. he could be the next VICK .. or he could be a bust .. and lets face it .. at 1-6 we got room to gamble

3.)keep harrington throwing .. air it out .. but really balance out the offense .. otherwise you got the exact opposite mindset of the wanny era but with the same predictability .. instead of run, run then pass on 3rd and long then punt .. its pass pass pass punt .. be more strategic in the efforts of this OFF

4.)HIRE a new OLINE coach .. have we changed that at all lately .. because not only did wanny bring in a lot of useless people .. but even under SABAN these guys aren't progressing .. you mean to tell me none of these guys are able to learn correct techniques to blocking? .. one of them had to buy into what the coaches were selling and stand out .. unless they're not being coached properly

5.)try to WIN A DANG GAME!!!

Totally concur. Go young and see what we can do.

It's simply amazing how the Patriots can plug anyone into the lineup and the player looks good. We plug anyone in and we look like crap. That type of stuff needs to change if we epxect to do anything next year!!!!

it helps when the officiating crew calls plays your way...after watching Patriot/Minnesota game, i really do believe that the officiating crew came straight from High School... horrible..just plain horrible (in favor of New England...only to hear the commentators suck Brady's ****)
