Fine and penalize players in practice for missed tackles, dropped passes and false starts to prevent it happening in games. The Fins are very poor at tackling and overall bad at making plays on third downs(offense and defense). The coaching staff needs to address these problems ASAP. I think the dropped passes are in direct result of poor and inconsistent quarterback play and will only be resolved when the Dolphins stay with one healthy QB for a whole season. Just a coaching suggestion.:D

Hard to stay with a healthy QB when he gets knocked into next season with a head injury! Next best thing is a rookie or a back-up. Either way without a stella supporting cast its difficult to say the least.

Overall, the Dolphins are horrible. We need better players... fining bad players for bad plays is a pretty stupid idea.

yeaa dont thinks that gonna happen because of the risk of injury and the unwillingness of some hot headed players to go by those kind of punishments. sometimes as fans we wish we could take drastic measure for these players because kids seem to play with more heart at pewee football than the players i mean its a job right? but the only thing really you can hope for is for the players to feel our pain

The Dolphins used to do stuff like this under Shula. But, it's no longer allowed by the NFLPA.

the reason for the fine is to be an incentive to mistake laden players to play better , get it?

I've posted in here many time that I think there should be consequences for penalties. The player who commits the penality has to run 1 lap per yard of penalty per day ie offsides is 5 laps per day. But I don't think fines for missed tackles, dropped passes, etc is the way to go.

I especially feel that way about the dumb, after the whistle stuff. Those 15 yarders really seem to deflate a defense and shift momentum to your opponent. I'd like to see a firm team policy against those things.

would definitely be nice - although i dont see it happening. they would b1tch and moan until my head exploded. i wish.

Are you gonna fine Jason Taylor for his out of bounds late hits? How much, 5 grand? The guy is worth 30 million! 5 large is ash try money.
