I resign ASAP! The fact that this dysfunctional organization couldn't even land his QB of choice is an embarrassment and makes it quite clear how far this team has fallen in the eyes of so many. Don't even try to tell me that he doesn't believe in Flynn or would rather have Alex Smith because that is laughable. Tannehill won't be our draft pick either so don't wait on him to come and save the day. If youve learned anything from this front office its that they are a complete incompetent bunch. You make too many assumptions. If they had wanted Flynn, they would have gotten Flynn. There was obvious some trepidation on the part of the Phins.
I still think they would prefer the upside of Tannehill or the raw talent of Weeden.

Did you see the contract Flynn got? If we had wanted him, we could have easily matched or beaten that.

It's clear that Philbin does not rate Flynn as a franchise QB, otherwise we would have signed him.

isnt it funny how finheaven evolves. earlier the pro flynn guys were crying foul against the guys who had their pitchforks and mayan calendars out. now that flynn has signed w/seattle theres a lot more pitchforks spotted.

IDK, most people on here are convinced that coaching and schemes are more important than the players. I'm inclined to agree. the 49ers didn't look like they would be the team they were last year until jim harbaugh came along.

don't throw the marshall thing into this, obviously the plan was to get rid of him as philbin didn't want him. you really want to blame anyone for marshall blame philbin. as to the QB it made sense that we wanted manning, we tried and failed to get him, big deal i'm not butthurt about it and you shouldn't be either. at least they tried can you imagine the outrage if they didn't even try? finally flynn was more than likely plan b, UNTIL the 49ers jumped into the manning sweepstakes, thus making it possible to pick up smith. right now i'd say the plan is smith and drafting a qb in the 1st.
