If I'm Joe Philbin........

i keep hearing philbin say we are building through the draft. what do you guys think? dont you people listen? the man told you himself.

Actually he said they will build with HIS guys and they did it in GB through the draft. Obviously Flynn wasn't HIS type of guy.

Philbin did say we will build through the draft that is true. But why did we talk to all of the other free agents? To finally bring a REAL quarter back.We just cant seem to do things right.Coaches turn us down players turn us down this really sucks.Who is left now?Alex smith?Wow.Tannehill?wow.A 28 year old rookie qb?Wow.Tannehill will be gone by the time we pick. Its the Matt moore show now. Thanks Ross .Nice big splash you made.

While I can live with the fact that if they truly were going to ONLY build through the draft, then so be it. But then don't waste your and everyone else's time with bringing in Manning, Flynn, Smith, Gerrard, etc., just wait for the draft! That's why I don't believe this garbage about only building through the draft. If we truly were following the GB script, we'd just sit back in the background and do our homework on the draft class and ignore the hoopla of FA. But we didn't so I don't think we truly are going that route. So now what's the plan? Draft? Does Philbin get to choose the guys or does Ireland, cause I have any faith in Ireland to land enough decent players to make any difference.

I'm not surprized. heck we couldn't even agree on manning as a fanbase, couldn't agree on flynn, can't agree on smith, or on tanny, or weeden. It really doesn't matter which qb we bring in, half the fanbase is going to bitch and complain about it.

This.

Because there doesn't seem to be a plan in place! Why trade Marshall exactly? WHAT QB do we want exactly......the one that falls into our lap or one in particular? Strike one, strike two, strike three.........no more outs. WHAT IS THE PLAN?????????? How exactly will we compete for the AFC East?? What have we done? Do you think the draft will be our answer? tell me

You know, you are right. The Dolphins should advertise to every other NFL club exactly what their plan is. I'm sure no one will take advantage of the information.

I resign ASAP! The fact that this dysfunctional organization couldn't even land his QB of choice is an embarrassment and makes it quite clear how far this team has fallen in the eyes of so many. Don't even try to tell me that he doesn't believe in Flynn or would rather have Alex Smith because that is laughable. Tannehill won't be our draft pick either so don't wait on him to come and save the day. If youve learned anything from this front office its that they are a complete incompetent bunch. Sorry to say but it is what it is. Billionaire Ross can't buy anybody..........sad

The difference between you and Philbin is one of you has a brain. Guess which one that is?

You make too many assumptions. If they had wanted Flynn, they would have gotten Flynn. There was obvious some trepidation on the part of the Phins.
I still think they would prefer the upside of Tannehill or the raw talent of Weeden.
You're right he made an assumption, so did you. This front office is not very good. That is also true until, things have changed.

You're right, the Fins didn't want Flynn, Manning or ANY other significant free agent. They're built to win as constructed.:rolleyes2:
 Exactly. They didn't want any of these guys, yet they brought them all in for interviews and reportedly offered a contract.

It's all a ploy to finally land their true target: David Garrard.

Maybe Sherman felt relatively much more positive about Tannahill or hopefully Weeden than Philbin did about Flynn? Or maybe not LOL :idk:

What I have said and will continue to say is that had Ireland stepped up and did his Belichik imitation grabbing Mallett when a top 10 talent fell into the bargain bin, we wouldn't be in this pickle now.

I've generally supported Ireland, but if Philbin did want Flynn, and we passed on him at a reasonable price, then I wouldn't blame the man for walking away.

We brought Flynn in first so its clear we wanted Flynn. No we call Smith in second yet will end up paying Smith more. Does that make sense to you guys? Of course philbin wanted Flynn. We are running the Green Bay WCO palybook. this is not rocket science. Someone brought out the value chart for this becasue none of it makes sense to me.

Here is the conversation: Lets bring in Plan C and pay him more then plan B. Holy Crap!

If you want to attack me personally that's fine but if you think that the Fins are in good personnel shape I'd have your brain checked bud.

Me have my brain checked? Philbin would never work again if he quit as coach of the Dolphins b/c he was a gutless turd that can't handle adversity in his first head coaching gig that's barely a few months old.
