I see people trying to figure out if Ireland asked Manning to throw or not... I personally think Ireland is a douchebag and not the best GM but If he asked to see Manning current throwing situation I am ok with this and wont blame him if it upset Manning. Not many jobs out there that will pay you millions and not have to show you can still do the job....

THANK YOU, Exactly. If Manning is broke I don't want him and definitly not at top dollar. This very well may be a blessing!

The same people that bitch about making Manning throw, would be the same people to blame Ireland if the Fins signed him and he turned out to still be injured.

i agree. i would want to see him throw before i gave him any money. if he doesnt want to come here bc of that, then im fine with that.

Ridiculous! If you know Peyton you know his pride and the legacy he wants to leave means everything to him. He won't be Brett Farve playing till he its dead.

Your response is ridiculous. You dont know peyton and this is a business. His supposed top choice got him to throw.

I'm sure there would be some kind of clause in the contract based on Mannings abiltity to preform. One in which if he can't throw which would nullify his big money.

And Dez Bryant's mom might really be a prostitute. As a GM, you gotta ask the tough questions. I don't blame Ireland for asking anything at this point. After all his ass is on the line just like everyone else's.

They did not get him to throw! He threw in a park to Stokely and no one from the Bronco's was present. Peyton Manning is probably the highest character most honest man in the NFL, he has said several times he would not play if he couldn't play at a high level. Last year Irsay wanted to give Manning a 5yr 100+ million dollar extension, it was Peyton that said he i just had surgery let's get me healthy and go from there. If Peyton was about the money he would have signed that deal. Not enough? ESPN Radio had a business analyst break down Mannings earnings,$170+ million in earnings from the Colts, and two to three times that in endorsements. So with that said when Peyton says it isn't about the money yeah I believe hi! He wants a team that is ready too compete with a good fo.

If you were committing top dollar for a used rare exotic high performance Lotus, let's say, that after an accident had its chasis realigned, would you take the word of an owner's friend that it's running like before, or want to put it through the paces yourself....especially if you needed to secure a few years bank financing to purchase it???

It's common sense people!

I hope you are not referring to Dez Bryant to call Ireland a douchebag??? Turns out Ireland was right about Bryant..

His saggy pants mall incident, his feud with Deon Sanders and most recently an incident in a Miami nightclub with Lil Wayne's crew...

If Ireland offended Peyton Manning by asking him to throw a football a few times...

... then GOOD FOR JEFF IRELAND.

Here is the thing Mannjng has said he will play fod a cap friendly incentive based contact, at no time has he said he wants top dollar. It is the media speculating that and owners saying they will go all in.
