If Ireland is out, Peterson is in.....

Peterson? Really? The Chiefs were always a relevant football team until that guy took over.

I'll stick with Ireland if it means changing over to Peterson . . . if you upgrade, get a "real" upgrade at GM.
You might want to check your facts on this. Peterson took over a Chiefs franchise in 1989 that previously had not been in the playoffs since 1971 when they lost to the Dolphins in the longest game in NFL history. During Peterson's tenure in KC, the Chiefs amassed a record or 176-141-1 and made the playoffs nine times in 20 years. Kansas City also won the AFC West four times.

It was after Peterson hired Herman Edwards from the Jets that the Chiefs began to falter.

Peterson's biggest problem during his time as Chiefs GM was that he never drafted a franchise QB. He always went with an aging veterans like Joe Montana and Trent Green.

Facts? What are facts? Not here on Finheaven. Just the daily complaints about Ireland and Ross and the organization. No room for facts.

Thanks for reminding me. I keep thinking I was in the Finheaven of old when facts actually mattered.

Wow.. I guess it's nice to dream.

Ireland certainly isn't getting fired before the draft, and IF he gets fired before the end of the season don't expect it until the fist month or two of the season.

I say let Joe Philbin pick a GM he can work with.
I would be all for that. Especially if that GM is not set on the bigger is better approach or has made up his mind on potential prospects before the Combine.

Ross could tell Ireland his last day is June 1 whenever he's had enough of the bad PR. He needs him through the draft, and then there's a window of opportunity to make a change if that's what he wants to do.
