If it came down between Gholston and Jake Long, who would you take????

When asked at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis about the possibility of playing for the Dolphins, the 6-foot-7, 313-pound Long said, "It would be an honor."

"They would get a hard-working, passionate player," said Jake Long, who allowed two sacks and was flagged for two penalties throughout his four-year college career.
Jake Long and Gholston, who is 6-4, 265 pounds and runs in the 4.6 range in the 40-yard dash, were the two strongest players at the NFL combine. Both bench-pressed 225 pounds 37 times. Jake Long's lone sack of his senior season was to Gholston, who finished his junior season with 14 sacks before entering the draft.

Long...You win games by winning the trenches. We need to get our O-line fixed and it's too risky to hope that we get one of the other good tackles to fall to us at 32

The OT position is deep in the draft, Jake Long looks too stiff to me to be a LT. Not sure he is even the best overall tackle in the draft. Great run blocker though.

Go defense. Take Gholston!

I take Long... I truly think Gholston is going to get busted for some type of steriod use and get a 4 game vacation at some point, whether its this year or next year. They guy is a freak of nature. Hes gotta be pumping something. The human body is not meant to be that big without some type of help. And we cant have that... Id only take him if either Long was off the board

gholston but i prefer chris long i think gholston has a bust in his name verbust gholston

i think that every time i see him. not saying he's definitely juicing, but that physique is far from natural.

I'm not saying he is or isn't, but as a former competitive bodybuilder - when I look at him, I wouldn't draft him #1.

Is it because you can see track marks on his *** from where your sitting?

Gholston in a deep o-line draft I rather get 3 starters with our 1st 3 picks then just 1 or 2. OLB Gholston or C Long.

1981 didn't PB draft LT then built his defense around him ???????????????

Hell yeah he did !!!!!!! Do it again Bill !!!!!

Vernon Golsten is a good player. But something about his putting two rubber bands around his elbows to pump up his veins in his arms just strikes me as alot of show.

Jake Long. Long and Clady are the only two dominant o-lineman....there are plenty of very good DE's/OLB's. I think Jake is the pick.

Draft Long no question. For that amount of money you get a player who is on the field for every snap, rectifies a huge need area, and increases the value of our previous top draft choices Beck, Ginn, Satele by making them more effective.

Gholston - while good (and I would pick him over C.Long), just doesn't bring the same value as J.Long does.
